Villa Tranquila is conveniently located about 1/2 mi. from the ferry boats, heading south on Aeropuerto Rd. on Isla Mujeres. It is between a small airport strip to the right and the Caribbean Sea to the left. Villa Tranquila has it all with the incomparable turquoise hues of the Caribbean at your doorstep and a rooftop pool for your enjoyment with downtown and beautiful beaches only a short walk away. The house has its own furnished terraces with the palapa (thatched) shaded rooftop terrace perfect for relaxing in the comfortable loungers. The rooftop terrace offers magnificent views of the sun rising over the open sea and the sun setting over Mujeres Bay. Villa Tranquila Living Area: The first floor of the Villa Tranquila Main House consists of a sunken living room furnished with comfy leather chairs with ottoman, built-in couches, cable TV with DVD player, CD player and more. Sliding glass doors lead to the terrace. The living room is ocean front. There is a half bathroom on this level decorated with one of the wonderful Mexican ceramic sinks and tiles that are seen throughout the villa. The well equipped kitchen includes a gas stove with grill. There is a dining area that can accommodate 8 guests.

Villa Tranquila Bedrooms: There is an indoor circular staircase leading to the 2nd floor with 2 bedrooms, each with private full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, leather easy chair and ottoman, fridge and furnished terrace overlooking the Caribbean. Sliding glass doors lead out to the terrace. The second bedroom has a queen bed, comfortable chair and a table with 2 chairs. Both bedrooms have cable TV, DVD player, CD player and clock radio.

We love the isla, and the studio's at Villa Tranquilla even makes it better. They are large rooms with comfy beds. The views are amazing. We where lucky to have the owners staying next to us at the Casa Tranquilla last year, and what a lovely couple. They helped us learn even more about the Isla.
If you have never stayed on the Isla, do it!!! Then stay at the studio's at Villa Tranquilla. You will not regret it.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Robb & Kim are a very nice couple that we enjoyed meeting and we were able to spend some time with them. They actually stayed in the upper "Studio" a few nights until the "Main House" became available for them. Really most of their time was spent staying in the "Main House" and enjoying the rooftop pool. They already have reservations to come back this October and stay in the "Main House" of Villa Tranquila. We always enjoy having such nice people returning to Isla to stay at our house!!!

My Villa Tranquila Wonderful and Relaxing Get-Away

My stay at Villa Tranquila was the nicest, most relaxing get-away that I have ever had. The beach was beautiful, the villa was very comfortable and the overall area was fun and romantic.
The villa had everything we needed and then some. The sunsets were incredible. I would highly recommend this villa for couples or even for the family. There are things in Isla for everyone. I can't wait to go back!

We had a wonderful time on our vacation. This was a great getaway place, and very relaxing. We absolutely loved laying out in the sun on the rooftop, at the pool. And relaxing in the lounge chairs.
We also found out a couple weeks after we returned home, that we are expecting a little addition to our family! We also really enjoyed all the variety of restaurants on the island. Especially Casa O's and Angelo's for dinner, Sunset Grill and Sergio's for lunch, and M&J's for breakfast!

A Very Fun Time

This was our second trip to Isla Mujeres. We only got to spend about four days the first time because hurricane Wilma was coming and we had to get out! We stayed next door at Casa Tranquila on that trip. Isla Mujeres is a real paradise! We were so glad to see how the island had recovered from the hurricane. This trip was very relaxing- it rained some almost every day but it kept us from being so hot or having to use the air conditioning so much. We played the game "Sorry" (which was in the house) almost every night with our friends that went as well. There are many wonderful restaurants on the island- the food was fabulous! The amenities at this property are unbelievable! There is nothing else I would add to them!

A Memorable Birthday

My wife and I and our 2 children along with another couple and their child spent a wonderfull week on Isla Mujeres.
We really enjoyed the beach at the house and the Turtle Farm. I was able to spend my 32nd birthday on the island.
I had my birthday party on the rooftop of Villa Tranquila!
We were able to have a beautiful, delicious cake that my family ordered at a small bakery on the Cancun side of the island. It was my favorite- Chocolate! It was the best birthday ever! Villa Tranquila has every amenity imaginable! We spent the whole afternoon swimming,eating, and enjoying the views and the breeze!
We didn't even have to leave the rooftop to go to the bathroom, since there is even a toilet, sink, stereo, and refrigerator up there! Everything was very clean and neat. We have been to Isla Mujeres 5 different times and we stayed next door at Casa Tranquila severl times before staying here at the Villa. We have not been at all disappointed with the island or the food at most any of the restaurants.
