My husband and I were looking for a quick get-away at Thanksgiving and we came upon the listing for this house. The house is absolutely terrific - it sits right on the lake and is comfortable and inviting. The views of the lake from the house are awesome! Restaurants and shops are not too far away. We liked it so much, we're going back in May!

Very nice property!

We had 4 adults and five kids stay at Serenity for a week. We loved SML and the house. It had a great layout and was very well appointed with everything you need for a great vacation. We brought our wakeboard boat and loved the location of the house on the lake. There wasn't much boat traffic and the water always seemed smooth. The dock and deck were also great. The only drawbacks were the slope down to the dock and since we were renting at the end of the summer, the kitchen could have been a little cleaner and better organized.

Overall we were very happy with this house, had great communication with the manager/owner and can't wait to come back down and stay again. It was worth the trip from NY!

Lovely Home, Gorgeous Views

My husband and our 3 children decided on a last minute getaway to our favorite vacation spot in Virginia. We fell in love the moment we walked in and saw the views from the endless expanse of windows. Very peaceful, private, and relaxing setting. Great location near grocery stores, restaurants, and marinas. Such an enjoyable family weekend, we can't wait to go back!

Our family of seven loved the location and the house. We loved being in a peaceful location with little to do in the middle of the winter. Our 15 y.o. son said "It is great but a week is too short!" We would go back in a heart beat. Don't forget to arrange for linens.

My husband and I and my Mom & Dad had a wonderful vacation at this house. The area, home and view, all were just as beautiful as described. We would definitely rent this house again and recommend to friends and family. We were also given recommendations for area restaurants. "The Landing" was fantastic! A must try!
Only one caveat - lot is a little more steep than I expected.
Great house, great view, great fishing. Overall - one great vacation!
