An 1800's captain's house, complete with rum-running hatch, this became a Yacht Club at some point in history. We kept the warm wainscoting, wide plank floors, and harbor view. Then, we put in a new kitchen, and a beautiful, romantic bedroom, perfect for anniversaries. We are just blocks from wine-tasting, fresh Long Island bay scallops, and local farm stands to make a private dinner; or a walk through our quaint whaling town to an eclectic batch of restaurants! The building is also ideal for time with the family with bikes to ride to town, deck with grill, plenty of inside space, big screen TV, pull-out sofas, bar, games and library. For boaters, your 40' slip is steps away from the door! See you soon!

Local wineries top the 'to do' list, with award winning 'Osprey's Dominion' and 'Pindar' just ten minutes drive. If you'd rather be more active, streams and inlets are prolific. Kayak, hike, golf to your fill ! Or, choose to walk all thru the historic village!

Thanks again for the wonderful getaway / hideaway. We wine tasted and ate our way through our long weekend and had a great time! Also, we woke up well rested each day. We can't say thank you enough.

Spent a delightful 3 days on the East End of Long Island wit this place as ou, much of it base. Slightly off the beaten path-if you consider a 4 block walk to town long. The place was surprisingly spacious. From the picture I somehow got the impression is was going to be a studio type place. Pleasantly surprised to find a spacious first floor of a house, complete with full kitchen, deck and gas grill outdoors. Quiet residential neighborhood.

Plenty to do both in and around Greenport, much of it on foot. Nice wine bar in town. Alice's Fish Shop is good for picking up local fresh seafood if you're inclined to eat in.

A winner. We'd recommend to any who're looking for a relaxing stay, or a good base of operations for exploring the North Fork country.
