Torre Montefollonico is a magnificent two bedroom apartment in a Castle in the tiny hilltop village of Montefollonico. This Unique and Romantic home has two bedrooms, a library, and a 12th century fairy tale tower with private rooftop patio. This is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of Vino Nobile as the sun sets on the wondrous view. The furnishings are an eclectic mix of wonderful antiques and the best in Italian modern design. This is a large spacious apartment with a high ceiling dining room with exposed beams and new high end kitchen appliances. There is a DSL high speed internet connection and WiFi for your convenience.

Torre Monefollonico is in small hilltop village of Montefollonico within 15 minute drive of Pienza, Unesco Heritage site and Montepulciano, two of the best regarded Tuscan towns. While the apartment is in the village and provides the convenience of 5 minutes walks to 4 great restaurants including the NY Times reviewed La Chiusa and ATM, Pharmacy, and food stores, it has a pastoral setting. You will hear sheep bells and watch sparrows wheel about from your patio. We are close to many fabulous walks where you can walk for miles through olive trees and vineyards. Near Monte Oliveto, Bagno Vignoni, Moltacino.

  • Includes electricity, gas, and high speed internet with G5 Imac computer
  • A Deposit of 30% of rental price plus a $50 booking fee secures a reservation. The balance of invoice must be received 60 days before booking to receive a confirmed reservation. A deposit will be fully refunded if booking is canceled more than 60 days ahead. Moving or canceling a booking between 60 and 30 days ahead will forfeit 75% of rental price. Moving or canceling less than 30 days ahead will forfeit 100% of rental price. Vacation insurance is highly recommended. In all cases booking fee is non-refundable.
  • From Oct 24-Mar 20 a $20 a night heating charge applies to three night stays.

    There is a required cleanup fee of 50 Euro which is left in cash for the maid.

Tuscan Tower

Last fall we stayed at the Tuscan Tower. This wonderful
apartment is in an historic building in a wonderful tuscan
hill town. We felt like locals. The best feature is the roof top
terrace which overlooks the hills of tuscany. The sunsets
are incredible, and so great after a day of exploring. Many
wonderful towns are easy day trips. We were most happy to have also been close to Umbria. We visited 3 towns in
this area and really fell in love with Umbria. Great local
grocery in the little town, as well as a couple of nice
restaurants. Loved this place and would return.

Fabulous stay in the tower

The website pictures of this beautiful apartment don't come anywhere near doing this place justice. Everything was gorgeous and the owners' have thought of all of the little things to make the stay comfortable. Extremely comfortable beds and and linens, big, thick towels, well stocked kitchen with all the appliances, dishes, etc. that you could possibly want. The design of the space needs to be seen to be believed. The view from the tower is also unbelievable. The apartment is extremely well laid out for two couples traveling together. We had comfortable, spacious areas to visit together as well as ample privacy when desired. We especially appreciated that the owners left very clear, detailed instructions on how everything works, including the internet access. The little town is lovely, easy to get to and the locals were so friendly. We enjoyed a local dinner that we could just walk to and the ladies at the little grocery store just down the street were friendly and helpful. There is a bancomat just a block away. We were able to drive right up to unload and then park very close by - for free, which is a nice thing in little Italian towns. We appreciated (and enjoyed) the owners' recommendations on places to eat, shop and see. This is the ultimate Italian experience with all of the comforts of home.
