Yosemite National Park is located nearby.This very comfortable mountain cottage is located just 45 minutes from the lodge in Yosemite. It is in Mariposa ,Ca. Located at an altitude of 1500 ft ideally situated above the fog and below the snow. The cottage is attached to a B&B, which makes it possible to participate in the morning breakfasts if desired. There is a very nice large deck that overlooks a view of gentle hills and a pine and oak canyon. It is great for viewing wildlife or bird watching, or just quiet walks. The cottage is available for nightly, weekly, or monthly rates. It is near skiing, hiking, river running, fishing, mountain biking, and just good walking. We are located 5 miles outside of the historic town of Mariposa.

We had a wonderful stay at this 2 bedroom/2 bath home. Clay and Joy were wonderful caretakers and Joy's breakfasts were fantastic!! Nice view of mountain range and great accomodations!!! We highly recommend anyone that will be visiting Yosemite to stay with Clay & Joy.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Home away from home

My daughter and I stayed at the cottage for a week in June. We loved it. With all the wonderful touches it felt like coming home each night. Clay and Joy were wonderful and they keep everything so nice. An excellent place to stay and I would go back if I ever get to that area again. I highly recommend the cottage for anyone wanting more than just a room and you couldn't ask for more warm or welcoming hosts than Clay and Joy.

We have been traviling for 9 months. This turned out to be the highlight of our trip.

The food was great. The setting spectacular. The hospitality first rate.
