Our Family Trip

We loved the cabin! This felt like a 5 star resort. I had the pleasure of visiting for 1 week with my brother-in-law's family and my mom. In total there were 10 of us - 4 adults and 6 boys from 9 - 17 plus my German Sheppard. The boys want to make this a yearly visit. There is so much to do, the sights are amazing - the people and the manager especially were great and very accomodating. There was plenty of space and no one felt ontop of each other. The appliances are top notch - everything from the laundry machines to the barbecue grill. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio overlooking the waterfalls and watching the birds (feeder onsite) - totally relaxing. We went to see the Lost Sea in the Caves, on the Pontoon boat, White water rafting, horseback riding, and up to the Fort Mountain State Park (which we should have planned for a full day). The boys hiked everyday, went mountain biking and built a fire in the firepit for smoars - You could easly stay for a couple of weeks without getting bored. I would and have recommended this to everyone I know. I hope you enjoy Bear Lodge Falls as much as we did.

Great vacation spot!

Our Family just vacationed in this cabin and it was wonderful! If your looking for a relaxing vacation this is it! There is fun stuff for younger and older kids and definitely relaxing time for the adults. The view is awesome from the deck. We will definitely vacation in this cabin again.We had 6 in our group but the cabin has enough room for many more people.April, the manager was great! Coffee on the deck in the mornings was sooo wonderful hearing the cascading of the waterfalls. The 3.1 mile trek up the mountain to the cabin is a bit rugged but our full size loaded down van made it with no problem,you just need to take it a little slow. It took about 29 minutes to go the 3.1 miles. The kids loved it! Next time we will have 4 wheelers, that would be great fun! I will definitely recommend this to my friends! Look forward to next time

Beautiful and feature-loaded cabin

I celebrated my 40th birthday here. There were 14 adults, and everyone had a fantastic time. There were beds for 12, and we brought a queen-sized inflatable mattress for 2 people to sleep in front of the fire in the living room. There were hiking trails, a hot tub overlooking the creek and waterfall, a gameroom, large living room where we could gather, and a nice, well-equipped kitchen for preparing meals. I can't thank Renae enough for making my birthday weekend so awesome. Two creeks converge in front of the cabin and tumble down a beautiful waterfall. With an open window or door, you can hear the water flowing. Two-story, wrap-around decks overlook the creek and waterfall. Be careful on the 3-mile gravel road leading to the cabin especially if it has been raining. If you want peace and quiet, a beautiful setting, and fun activities to keep you entertained...this is the place.

Best Cabin Ever

"We spent New Years this year at the cabin and we had the best timeever. Thank you for sharing your lovely, immaculate home with our family. It was our family reunion and the home comfortably held all 12 of us. I think my favorite part was all the home had to offer. No of the group got bored because there was something for everyone. The teenagers loved the hot tub and bon fire by the waterfalls. We made Smores most every night. The men spent hours in the Billards room shooting pool and poping homemade popcorn supplied in the antique popcorn machine. We hiked over 6 miles and explored three trails to Fort Mountian State Part. We used the GPS and trail maps at the house and found the Geo- caching hidden in the mountains- just like a treasure hunt. We also went horseback riding and absolutely loved the ride thru the woods. We saw a bear cub and two deers.
The best part of this vacation was of course the food- the kitchen stove is to die for- true gourmet stove and very well equipped kitchen. The road to the home is down a gravel windy mountain road and we saw rabbits, many butterflies, and a boar along the way. We had no trouble on the road at all and went the posted speed limit of 20 mph. Getting to the home on the country road is part of the fun. I drove a camero and had no problem at all . It is a little rocky and has some steep slopes so using low drive up and down the hills will save your brakes.

We took along our two four legged family members who had a ball in the waterfalls. I am glad the owner allowed us to bring our pets and I was happy to pay the non-refundable pet fee. It clearly says it is nonrefundable and based on how clean the home was, I would guess the funds go to cleaning!

Great getaway- we will return next year!"

Absolutely Perfect Stay

We just loved the cabin and our family had a wonderful time making memories together. The popcorn machine and outdoor deck heater was a nice touch as it allowed us to enjoy the deck by the waterfalls till late at night.
The kids loved the pool room and played fooseball and darts for hours.
But I think our favorite this is the setting- this home really overhangs a waterfall in the wooded mountains- the sound of the water was soooo soothing and you can even hear it from the living room. I highly reccommend this home . The rental manager, Michelle was great and gave us a complete tour of the home and how everything worked. The home was immaculate upon our arrival- Great family vacation- Oh and this home has an full elevator and back up generator. The road to the home is idealic as it meanders thru the mountains. We saw lots of wildlife alone the way, deer, rabbits, turkey and a boar!
