Although very private, you will be only steps from the beautiful Nisbet Plantation, where you can enjoy excellent dining or simply a cold drink at the casual beach bar. Dining is second to none, where top chefs combine the intense flavors of the Caribbean with European flair. Also, there are many outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, biking, golf and tennis. These many attractions and the warmth of its people truly make Nevis 'the queen of the Caribbean'. We have been exploring Nevis for over 15 years and would be delighted to share our experience with you!

Tennis: Four Seasons tennis is second to none, with ten courts and ample facilities, services and amenities including night play and professional instruction. Managed by world-renowned Peter Burwash International, the site comprises four red clay courts (two lit for night play) and six hard courts (three lit for night play). Tennis equipment, apparel and accessories are available from the pro shop, located in the sports pavilion. The Four Seasons hotel is a short drive away and welcomes our guests for Tennis and Golf (see below). Spa treatments can also be reserved at their world class spa.

Water Sports: Lazy turtle is a short drive from Oualie beach resort. There you will find scuba diving, mountain biking, snorkeling, sunfish sailing, sport fishing boats, a windsurfing school, hobie cats, kayaks and day sailing adventures on yachts and catamarans. You can rent boats, windsurfers and kayaks. Guided sailing trips can be arranged at this location. Four Seasons beach club is a 20 minute drive and offers waterskiing, banana boating and tubing.

Adventure sports and other activities: The mountainous terrain and beautiful beaches provide the perfect backdrop for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking.

Golf: The Robert Trent Jones II course at the Four Season Resort is world famous and a short drive away. The course provides a dramatic view of the Resort, the Caribbean and the neighboring island of St. Kitts. There is also the family run 'Cat Ghaut', a 12 hole course which delights with its colorful owners and stunning ocean views. At 10$ USD a game, it can't be beat!

Breathtaking and relaxing

We have just returned from the Lazy Turtle on Nevis and I highly recommend this little piece of paradise to those looking for a true Caribbean vacation. The secluded setting is breathtaking- the turquoise surf breaks on the reef to the front and an amazing and spectacular Mount Nevis is the back drop to the rear. A sweeping lawn is surrounded by tropical foliage and coconut palms, with a private pool and a gate to the sandy path to the beach. The charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is open and light and enclosed with a huge screened porch furnished brightly. If you are looking to get away from the “canned resorts” and want a leisurely break away, somewhere special, you will not be disappointed with the Lazy Turtle.

The owners went the extra mile to ensure that we had a stress free trip. We were impressed with the people they have employed on the island (concierge, housekeeper and driver), which allowed us to truly relax in paradise.

The home we rented was accurately described on the website and actually had more to offer. My husband and I honeymooned on Nevis 21 years ago and wished to have our children feel the same kind feeling from the islanders that we experienced. They were not disappointed. From the moment we were greeted at your home by Bonnie and our experience with Marlon (car rental) and Carmen (housekeeper and savior!) we felt nothing but welcome. The accommodations were spotless, the beach beautiful and our hope is to bring our grandkids back some day. Nevis is special to our family and your hospitality made it more so on this visit. Again, thank you!

We stayed the last week in april through the first week in may and loved every minute. The house had everything you could think of from coolers to beach towels to plastic bags. The information the owners provided before we actually even got there made our trip to the island very easy. The new pool had just been completed before we got there and it was very nice. The rental car company was excellent and Marlon, the owner, was great. He brought the car to the house and made sure that we had a map of the island. The description on the website was perfectly accurate. We recommend this rental to everyone and anyone that wants a relaxing and peaceful vacation.
