The Matzinger Cottage is located on the east side of Lower Herring Lake with its own beachfront and dock. The sunsets are beautiful. This cottage has a full kitchen with dishwasher, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, clothes washer and dryer, sitting area with fireplace, eating area with a lake view, a front sitting area with lake view and a deck with table and chairs. This quiet, end of road cottage has a beautiful fireplace along with modern conveniences and comfort including satellite tv. Frankfort, close by, and Betsie County offer a range of activities, such as biking, groceries and places to dine out. Popular places in the greater area are Gwen Frostic prints, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Cherry Republic (Leelanau Peninsula), Traverse City, wineries and local bakeries, delis and much more.
