Good vacation but needs some work

We had a great time at our stay (except for the weather). The house is a short walk to the beach and it was so nice to have our own private pool! Part of the patio was covered so it was nice just to sit outside and watch the rain come down our just sit outside and not be in the direct sun/heat. The house has just about everything you need for the beach except for sunscreen and a bathing suite (towels, charis, cooler, floats and beach toys). It is very close to shopping and resturants. You could just about walk to the store if you did not have to buy a lot of items to carry back. The house is fully furnished with everything you need.
I was a little disapointed in the owner not provinging some local information (places to eat, grocery store or even suggestions on things to do in the event of rain). Since we had not been to Fort Lauderdale before we had no idea where to go. They did have a wireless network so we used the intenet as our guide. I was also disapointed in the owner not following up with us upon our arrival. I thought the owner would of stop by and check to see if we needed anything or at least called, but they did not come until 4 days later to pick up their check. The house needs some major electrical work throughout the house. Half of the outlets throughout the house did not work. The fan in the master bed room did not work. And there are no overhead lights in the bedrooms or living room, only table lamps that barely provided enough light at night. So make sure to bring a flashlight with you. The master bed room does not have a stand up shower (you have to take a bath/shower). Which makes things very messy when trying to take a shower in a tub. Luckly they have a washer and dryer so we used them very frequently. The 2nd bath does have a shower but when you have 4 adults it is hard to share 1 bath. The toliet in the 2nd bath is broken and was constently running. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but I strongly suggest to the owner to spend a little more time and money on his homes.
Owner's Response: Shocked to have the first 4 of 5 star review on this property. No one has ever given it less that 5 of 5? I had no idea about the running toilet, but was fixed today for less than a dollar. I also had an electrician visit the home today to check the "major" electrical problems? He found four of twenty eight outlets not working in the house. Plugs were all fixed and now is 100%. I am sorry I was unaware of these issues as no one brought them to my attention. So for that, I thank my past guest. We take great pride in keeping the house clean, updated and in working order. In fact, the house was just painted outside this week.
I had several conversations with the guest and invited him to call me when he got settled in, but never received one. And, as the balance is due upon arrival, I called a few days later to see if all was ok and to get the final payment. The guest spoke to my wife, mentioned that a few electrical outlets were not working, but said it was no big deal and sent her on the way with a check. I have no less than fifty brochures in the house for things to do in the area. I have wireless internet, phonebooks, take out menus. We really have tried to think of it all. I am not a personal tour guide. I simply provide a house, but I always tell guests to contact me if they need more suggestions as I grew up in Fort Lauderdale and know everything there is to know about the city and surrounding areas. I love this city!
Honestly, I am flabergasted. I even provide every guests with a fruit basket, sometimes wine and bottled water. I am always willing to accomodate guests though. If they want daily maid service and massages, I can provide that as well.
This is your vacation and we want to make a great one for you!
