Activities: There are three golf courses on the island. Sundial has private professional tennis lessons and they take reservations and arrange to set up matches for games. We have bike rentals at the condo and you can roller blade on the bike path. There are all the water sports, wind surfing, sailing, water skiing, jet skiing and of course fishing either on the bay or the gulf. Check out the nature charters, fishing charters and Breakfast and Evening Cruises. Here are a few places to start: Captiva Cruises, Water Experiences, and Captain Paul's Yacht Charters. Another big attraction is the Tarpon Bay Wildlife Refuge.

Weddings: Want to get married (or just meditate on marriage) in a beautiful Chapel by the Sea? A sweet seaside chapel in nearby Captiva now serves as a meditation site and is also a much in demand wedding site.

Everything we needed for a family vacation

We just returned from a two-week-stay in late may/early june at The Sea Shells of Sanibel and had a wonderful time.

Located comfortably in the center of Sanibel Island, we found it very convenient to get everywhere quickly.

The condo is spacious, nicely decorated and well maintained.

We enjoyed cooking meals in the all new kitchen, which is fully equipped for every occasion.

With two kids, aged three and six, we appreciated the washer and dryer very much.

From lots of bath- and beach-towels to the large flatscreen tv and dvd: everything was provided. Wi-Fi worked very well, too.

The wonderful Beach is a 3-minute-walk across the street (slower with two small kids, but the beach cart carried chairs, playstuff and towels very well).
Shallow water was perfect for playing and we brought tons of shells home...

Service and management were very friendly and helpful.

All in all we found the price-performance-ratio convincing and would definitely choose unit 40 again.
