Get away and relax in this stylishly decorated yet comfortable, brand new home by Dirickson Creek 3 miles from the beach. The master bedroom and 2nd bedroom have their own decks with water views. The main living area has a screened porch and deck for outdoor entertaining also with water views. Enjoy magnificent sunsets from the master bedroom deck, lower rear deck or screen in porch. Newly constructed boardwalk and floating dock a few steps from the house will provide fishing and crabbing experience and a place to launch your kayaks. Just pull your kayaks from the garage to Dirickson Creek will bring you to Assawoman Bay. Community pool and fitness center is 2 blocks from the house. Conveniently located near bay side shops, restaurants, and attractions. The brand new Harris Teeter, an upscale supermarket is one traffic light away.

Clubhouse with exercise machines, kids' playground, and swimming pool is 2-5 minutes walk from the property. A fee of $35 is required for pool use.

Family Oriented Rental:: This rental property is strictly for family vacations. We do not rent to groups of unrelated individuals for conferences or parties.

Strictly NO SMOKING and NO PETS ALLOWED!!! : Violation of rule will result in termination of contract and deposit will not be returned.

Check In/ Check Out Times:: Check-in time is no earlier than 3 pm ET. There is only a 5 hour window to completely clean, disinfect and set up for the next guests. ***Please respect our policy and don’t arrive early.*** Checkout time is no later than 10 am ET the day you are scheduled to leave. We must be able to enter the home at 10 a.m. If you do not vacate the premises on time, you will be charged for one (1) additional night‘s stay.

House was perfect. Great for family-bonding activities. (TV, games, wireless, biking, reading on deck in the evening, and on the porch in the morning, etc)

John really paid attention to detail. Plenty of literature on local spots, alphabetized DVDs, spotless condition.

I would make the recommendation to permit an exterior hose to wash off sand. And I wish we could have used the kayaks. Alas, these are minor points to an otherwise great experience.
Owner's Response: Outside hose is now provided for washing off sand and kayak use is being taken into consideration for next summer.

From the minute we walked in, we felt at home. The owners have beautifully furnished and stocked this home with more than I ever expected to find in a vacation home! And there were so many ways to relax! The screened porch out back or the rocker on the front porch were great places to read. No need to bring books, there is a great variety here! The large screen TV in the bedroom was another great spot to relax. So many good restaurants near by that we would have had to stay a year to try them all and the beach is only minutes away. Definately a place that I would like to return to!

This home is beautiful. The home has all the amenities that you expect and need in a home. We definitely recommend this property - It is located on a quiet street and it is within a short drive of the beach.

Lovely Vacation Home

Your home is truly a "home away from home" with all the amenities. We have stayed in vacation homes all over the country and were very pleased with this one.The previous descriptions said it all; very nice and very clean.

We loved the porch and watching sunsets and went to Fenwick Island, Delaware Seashore, and Assateague Parks to swim. Kayaked through Coastal Kayak. Ate at Il Palazzo, and several other local rest. Saw the Watchtowers at Cape Henlopen State Park.

Grilling fresh fish was also a great way to end the day and watching the geese outside the house each and every day.
It was nice to be near things but yet stay in a quiet neighborhood.

It was nice to meet John as we were leaving. He is an attentive homeowner who wants to make sure your stay goes well.

Our main difficutly was in arriving late and not being able to get our keys from the right lock box. But eventually we did get them and all went well after that.

I am glad to see they are considering use of their 3 kayaks. We stayed with our daughter and had planned a day or two of kayaking and were initially so excited to see the kayaks and then realized they were locked. To me that would be a preferred choice over using the pool and exercise facilities.

I also suggested having a book in the kitchen/family room with warranties and directions for use of certain appliances and things. My husband kept wanting to turn off the lights on the side of the entertainment center and couldn't find the switch and I figured it must serve as a night light. I went to turn off the light in the front livingroom/parlor and then found it was on a timer. It has been my experience that renters cannot have too much information.

Enjoy your stay here. We know if we return to this area, we will definitely be back.

Perfect location for a relaxing family vacation

If you are looking for the perfect get away close to the beach without the crowds, then this rental property is the place for you. Our hosts were gracious and more than anticipated not only our every need, but those of a broad spectrum of guests. We enjoyed quiet sunsets on the many decks and enclosed sun porch, comfortable beds, the latest in technology (4 flat screen TVs with excellent sound systems), a variety of reading material (magazines and books), DVDs to watch, kitchen stocked with the latest appliances, large spacious jet tub and separate walk-in shower in the master bathroom, washer and dryer, use of beach chairs and gas grill, and high speed internet. What a convenience it was to get groceries or sundries with shopping centers close by. We enjoyed eating at Harpoon Hannah's, The Shark Restaurant on the Harbour, Faeger's Island fine dining level, and Lombardi's Italian Restaurant. Consider renting this property for your next beach vacation. You will be happy with your decision.
