Our family has been coming to this property for over 10 years. It's always clean, continually updated, and more fully furnished than any rental we've ever had. Sugar, oils, spices, detergents, paper products, beach towels, etc. It's a relief not to have to drag everything in and out of the car when we come here. We just bring our clothing and personal stuff.

This spring the upstairs became available for rent. Haven't stayed there, but have seen it often. It's fantastic, also well furnished, and it's porch view it to die for.

Don't assume the fishing boats across the water aren't beautiful to watch. They fascinate me, but seeing and hearing them at night is one of my favorite memories of this friendly, delightful coastal town.

We grilled a fish we caught right off of the dock last year. Beaufort seafood is off the charts, and the excellent kitchen here make it easy to enjoy.
Owner's Response: A happy guest is our measurement of success. We treat our guests the way we would like to be treated.

In an attempt to make sure everything is in order for our guests, either the owner or a full-time caretaker stays on site, looking after only two vacation rental apartments and the grounds. (Don't worry! We don't intrude on guests' privacy!)

It's this commitment to our guests' comfort and well-being that sets 102 Ann apart. Of course, our guests are special, too. Ivey & family are among our all-time favorites!

Our Home Downeast

My wife and I discovered Beaufort about 14 years ago and with it a whole new definition of a vacation "at the beach". Bordered by the Cape Lookout National Seashore, Beaufort is a launching pad by ferry to the Southern Outer Banks. Only accessible by ferry there are miles of undistributed beaches, maritime forests, wild ponies, birds, dolphins, loggerhead turtles and a picturesque lighthouse await those who want to explore this region. It is easy for us to launch our sea kayaks and explore the Rachel Carson Estuarine Sanctuary by water and on foot. We can beach comb, observe the birds and ponies, take a swim, enjoy a walk on the beach and totally relax. There is no need to drive anywhere as Beaufort is a walker and biker friendly town. The waterfront is always bustling with boating activity as yachts from all over the world visit this safe port. If you are interested in history, Beaufort and the surrounding area is a rich find. The Revolution,Blackbeard, the Civil War, WWII all have made their mark here. The NC Maritime Museum is a fascinating place to explore. A short drive in any direction can unlock more treasures to discover. Travel west along the coast (yes, it is west) and you have Fort Macon State Park, Atlantic Beach, the NC Aquarium and the quaint town of Swansboro to explore. Travel east to Harkers Island, home of the Cape Lookout National Seashore Visitors Center and the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum. People ask us why we don't vacation somewhere else, but we tell them we haven't finished enjoying all the treasures of Downeast yet. We tried a number of rentals in Beaufort with negative experiences. Then we tried this rental property and we found "our home Downeast". It is obvious by the way the owners take care of the place, how it is landscaped, how it is furnished and decorated that much care, love and thought has gone into providing a wonderful "home" for others to enjoy Beaufort as they do. I highly recommend this rental to anyone.

102 Ann Street--my slice of heaven.

Fully appointed kitchen and furnishings. Wonderfully located, this is where we go to relax. Best waterfront view and spectacular sunsets. No need for the car after arrival, we gladly stroll everywhere we go. Safe, quiet, quaint and clean. Great community to allow (well-behaved) teens and tweens to stroll on their own. We enjoy kayaking (provided) and evening walks on the boardwalk. Have seen wild ponies on nearby islands during early morning walks. Coffee shops and local bars abound. Transactions with the owners are uncomplicated and fair. Highly recommended. We have stayed here several times.
Owner's Response: We provide one man's and one woman's bike. (Upright riding, no racing bike bending over). Coaster brakes. Woman's bike has wide "saddle bag" baskets. You can follow the town bike trail to the grocery store and never use your car or cross a busy highway.
