PEI Golf:
PEI is know for its Golf Courses, there are 29 on the island. Crowbush, Brudenell, Dundarave and Mill River Golf Courses are Provincial courses, which are rated as 5 star. There are beaches close to many of the courses, which allows the family to go to the beach for the day while the golfers are playing a round at one of the islands great courses.
Lighthouses :
When visiting the island why not go Tip to Tip and visit the many lighthouses that are still operating. They allow you to climb to the top to see picturesque coastline of PEI. Only minutes away from the house you can visit the East Point Lighthouse where the tides meet. The Cape Bear lighthouse was where the first distress SOS signal from the Titanic was heard. If you are interested in our culture you can drop into the Wood Islands Lighthouse and learn all about the 'Rum Running' days. There are more to see and learn about as you travel Prince Edward Island.
Harbours :
As you drive the island you will see many working harbours where you can stop and talk to the fishermen and maybe purchase some fresh seafood for a delicious meal. They will even tell you how to cook the seafood, especially the lobster and mussels that PEI is famous for. Be sure to take your camera as the scenery is magnificent. You might even be lucky enough to go out on a boat for a tour or try your hand at deep-sea fishing. Don't forget the Tuna Charters, which are minutes away at 'North Lake Harbour' the Tuna capital of the world!
