Nestled in the valley of los Chillos and only 25 minutes from Historic and downtown Quito, this nostalgic hacienda captures the essence of true Andes living with all modern day amenities. Safely behind dramatic gates, the hacienda is on 2 acres of manicured, custom landscaping that features avocado trees, ancient eucalyptus, exotic flowers and banana trees. A greenhouse yields fresh local vegetables all year round but don’t worry, you don’t have to pick them yourself since full time groundskeepers and servants are available to not only provide authentic meals, but ensure you and your family have everything you need while you are guests at the hacienda. Did we mention the indoor pool, just another feature that guarantees your stay is relaxing and memorable. At the center of town only 10 minutes away, you can find everything and more at the largest shopping center of Los Chillos. Indulge in fashionable boutiques, light food, Ecuadorian traditional restaurants, cinemas,etc.

Quito- Ecuador has one of South America's most colorful crafts markets that takes place every Saturday in Otavalo, about 70 miles north of Quito. Otavalo weavers are world famous for the beauty of their textiles.

At an altitude of 9.350 feet, Quito is generally considered to be the world's second highest national capital after La Paz, Bolivia. Quito is also South America's oldest capital. The symbol of Quito is the statue of the winged Virgin of Quito atop El Panecillo ('the bread roll') hill. Especially on a clear day, the views of the city from El Panecillo are spectacular.

At about 16 miles north of Quito is Mitad del Mundo ('middle of the world'), where visitors can straddle a line marking the equator. (Unfortunately the current line is about 328 yards off).

Our one week stay in Ecuador.

Our stay in the beautiful hacienda was wonderful. The house was very clean, spacious and comfortable for the 6 of us. We enjoyed the gorgeous garden. We were very pleased with the service and daily breakfast. The Spanish-speaking housekeeper was always very helpful but not invasive of our privacy. The house is definitely a place to get away from it all. It's far from downtown Quito. Transportation can be problem but the owner was very attentive to our needs. We arranged different tours everyday with the owner. This worked out well for us because driving in Quito can be very difficult and confusing. Large vans were used which were roomy enough for 6+ people. It's always fun to see places and do things that the locals enjoy too! We were taken to some excellent local restaurants and occasionally cooked at the house. The overall experience was great. We had a wonderful time and plan to return to the hacienda someday!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities
