Our Favorite Beaches:
From Hamilton Cottage, you're just over a mile from Cabot Provincial Park, which offers dramatic cliffs, pine trees, a beach that's safe for small swimmers, a playground, and a picnic area. There are walking trails and bathrooms here, as well as a path to scenic Malpeque fishing harbor, where you can buy fresh oysters or just watch the boats come in. Another great beach area near our cottage is Twin Shores and Thunder Cove. These beaches are about a 10 minute drive from the cottage and offer endless stretches of sand for strolling, amazing rock formations, and even bald eagles swooping overhead. An added plus is the campground area at Twin Shores, where you can do laundry, play tennis and let the kids run wild on the playground.
Anne's Land:
One of the most beloved heroines in children's literature, Anne of Green Gables makes her spirit felt everywhere on Prince Edward Island. Our cottage is just a fifteen minute drive from Cavendish, the heart of Anne's Land, with its rolling hills and small towns with steepled churches, and museums that pay homage to Lucy Maud Montgomery, the author who created Anne and her adventures.
