NE PA- Damascus/Tyler Hill - Cancellation leaves one week left for a great deal! very private home- bordering the Catskill Mountains, 20 minutes to Bethel Arts Center - on over 100 open and wooded acres on top of the mountain. The views are amazing overlooking the Delaware River and valley. There is a massive native stone fireplace in the family room and a free standing wood stove/fireplace in the living room. The home is near the river, lakes, streams, swimming pools, and a private stream-front area for fishing. Located close to Callicoon and Beach Lake, 20 minutes to Honesdale and 50 minutes to Scranton, it is near children's water parks, Big Bear and Elk Mountain skiing, arcades, shopping, antique stores, fine restaurants, hiking, rafting, boating, and many beautiful places to enjoy the views and country side in total peace and relaxation.

Notes: I request guests do not smoke in the house, rugs and furniture are steam cleaned frequently. I use EcoQuest's Fresh Air purifier to keep the house clean. Pets are considered if they are house broken and clean, protected with flea, tick and lice treatments. The house is clean and there is never pet order. I have allergies and need it to be clean. There is central vacuuming so daily upkeep is easy.

Peace and Quiet While at Home: Located at the end of a mountain road, the house offers complete privacy, and unique tranquility. Hiking on the private acres lends for many hours of peace and tranquility. Hiking along the Delaware River offers another blend of tranquility and relaxation.

Activities abound away from the house: The house is located near Skinners Falls, a water park, the Bethel Arts Center, golfing, skiing, art studios and the local artists tours in August. There are many antique stores and boutiques in the close neighboring towns. Restaurants abound in all price categories with an award winning 15 Main Street just 20 minutes from the property.

Our stay in Rogers House was very relaxing and fun.The house was very clean and organized, the location was very quiet and relaxing. The view of the river is beautiful. and we saw plenty of animals such as wild turkeys, rabbits, woodpeckers, bald eagles and the kids caught 3 frogs. We all loved the pool table downstairs. During our stay we went bowling and shopping at the Mall and the shopping center, the food there is very affordable. We grilled and built fires and made smores. We also went to the county Fair which we all enjoyed very much. Roger and Steve are very pleasant people. They made our stay very enjoyable.At the house there is plenty of space for everyone to relax. At Route Six shopping Mall theres a Theater, a Fun Center, Mcdonalds,Wendys,Arbys, a big Kmart, Walmart And many others. We took plenty of pictures and we also recommend this vacation home.

quiet and peaceful get-away

My family of 6 rented this house for a week's vacation. The house was very clean and well maintained. Everything we needed was in the house and the kitchen was wonderfully equipped as we did a lot of our own cooking while there. The house was roomy and beautifully decorated causing it to feel like someones private home rather than a vacation rental home. The owner was extremely helpful, accessible and seemed to genuinely care that our week there was a positive one ( and it certainly was). We would highly recommend this home as a great getaway vacation spot. We hope to return again when in need of some R & R.

Great get away from it all place

This is an excellent place to sit back and read. It's very private, at the end of a dirt road, and we never saw another person. The house is roomy and well laid out, the furnishings are very comfortable, everything was clean and in good shape, and everything we needed was there. The Internet connection is a bit slow and there's no cell phone service; neither of those mattered to us. There are no stores nearby but there's a good supermarket (Peck's) about 5 miles north in Callicoon NY, which also has several restaurants and other services. We would definitely recommend this house for a getaway.

Very Relaxing Getaway

The house is exactly as described and did not disappoint at all. It is a little big for 2 people like we had but it was very comfortable. I don't think there was anything that we did not like about our stay. I would highly recommend this house to anyone interested.

Quick Weekend Getaway

We had a great weekend in Damascus. Everything was exactly as described in the profile for the property. The house was clean and orderly when we arrived and more charming than I could imagine from the photos. There was plenty of space for all of us to be together or to have time alone and the scenery was a wonderful contrast to the city. Roger was so lovely to deal with - quick, friendly and really knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. The Delaware River is beautiful and we even saw a bald eagle!
