'No more expected tips, no ...do not disturb signs, no knocks at the door - Say Hello to a whole house !This spacious vacation home is located within Grand Traverse County on Spider Lake. The area contains many Inland Lakes and GT Bay creating a wonderland of water activities and water sports. The Boardman River snakes through the county for canoeing, fly fishing, & tubing opportunities before emptying into GT bay near downtown. TC is the Tart Cherry Capitol of the World and other farm fresh produce can be found seasonally throughout the area . The region is also home to many wineries where you can tour and taste ! Two casinos are in the area with gaming and entertainment options year round. Winter time brings snow, SNOW and the state land keeps trails groomed for X-C skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling - and to keep the place beautiful and white - just like a Christmas card picture. While there are many reasons to come to this area of god's country. No pets at all anytime

Labor Day at The Bass Cove Cottage

We spent four days during Labor day weekend at this home. It was perfect. Beautiful view, right on the lake. No long walking distance to get to the water. So much attention paid to little details. Both kitchens fully stocked with everything. Things like my toddler having a playpen, books to read, and a kiddie pool. They also provided excellent written directions on how to leave lake area and visit all spots of interest in Traverse City. My family of 10, including four college students, all found this home great. Beds were extremely comfortable. And everyone of us, got a bed, not a futon or air mattress, like a lot of rentals. It was just spacious enough where we were not on top of one another, but still small enough for us to interact as a family. The pool table, hot tub, pontoon boat, and fishing dock, made it perfect for my older children, but less exciting for my toddler, because none of these she could really enjoy. That's why the kiddie pool was such a nice touch. Add'l tip: If you are not familiar with the area, don't try to find this house in the dark or by using GPS, follow the owner's directions only.

Home very spacious for our group of 11, nice layout. Beautiful view of lake, comfortable deck, great bonfire area. Pontoon boat was great. The island not too far away was great for football in the lake and just achoring the boat to relax. Rented seadoo, great fun and water warm when you wipe out. Didn't catch many fish though, guess you have to wake up around 5ish. (didn't happen) Would defintely recommend and would like to return. House was clean and well maintained. Impressed with the internet viewing of the property- very realistic, not disappointed. Only 10-15 min. drive into town for supplies. Overall, very satisfied, nice vacation.
