This ground floor two bedroom, two bathroom condo is located in a quiet family oriented complex just steps from 230 feet of private beach that has a gated entry. Chateau La Mer has two tennis courts, pool that is heated in winter, outdoor barbecue grills, large outdoor play areas for the kids and no through traffic. The unit is beautifully tiled throughout, has a bright Florida room with a door that leads out to the lawn. Condo is equipped with 3 TVs, 2 VCRs, 1 DVD, Washer/Dryer, fully equipped kitchen as well as free high speed Internet. Chateau is conveniently located to restaurants (one right across the street), shopping, golf, water sports and fishing.

Destin is known as a family friendly beach recreation area. It abounds in excellent lodging, restaurants, shopping, tennis, golf, salt and semi-salt water fishing. It is fronted on the sugar white sand and emerald green water of the Gulf of Mexico. Behind is Choctawhatchee Bay with more boating and fishing. Across the bay is Eglin AFB with the Air Force Museum. Pensacola to the west is home to the Naval Aviation Museum. Between Ft. Walton Beach and Pensacola is the zoo. There are the latest in theaters, specialty shops and nationally famous Silver Sands outlet center.

This was a wonderful arrangement for my husband,myself and 4 kids (ages 6 to 11). The description and pictures of the property are accurate. I loved that this was a very quiet complex. It didn't have all the hustle and bustle of many of the other complexes in Destin. The amazing beach is a very short walk away. Not only would I refer this rental to a friend, I am looking forward to a return trip myself. It was a wonderful vacation with all the ammenities of home. If you are reading this and they have your dates available then Book IT!
