Hershey holiday townhome

We are just finishing our stay at this property. We have rented through Homeaway.com 7 times, and this is the first time the property did not more than live up to expectations based upon the website info and pics.

#1: This is NOT a 2-bedroom, as the pictures would lead you to believe. The upstairs 'bedrooms' are actually a very narrow floor-through. When you get to the top of the stairs, the bunk beds are right in front of you and you walk past these beds to get to the 'master' bedroom. It's all very cramped and, once the kids are asleep in bed, you have to walk past these beds to get to your bedroom or go to the bathroom from your bedroom. If your kids are even moderately light sleepers, this set up is fraught with problems.
#2: This property is VERY NOISY: While the description of this property in no way says that it is in a quiet location, there is also no mention of the fact that the property (and the master bedroom) faces directly over a very busy street, with cars and many trucks noisily driving by throughout the day and night; as well as a very whistley train passing nearby on what appeared to be every hour at night. While the master bed is comfortable, until we got ear plugs and sleeping masks (the drapes don't keep much light out) for our second night of stay, we barely got any sleep - and this 'solution' only helped so much, unfortunately. Not the kind of efforts you want to or expect to have to make while on vacation.

All in all, the place was clean and the beds were comfortable, but these are the only nice things I can say about this property. If we come back to Hershey, we will stay in a cheap hotel, which will be a much better alternative for us.
