Adjust your attitude by adjusting your latitude! Just over a year old, 'Latitude Adjustment' is located on the open water on Ramrod Key. Relax under the shade of the tiki hut sipping margaritas and listening to music on the central stereo system, or sun yourself by the in ground heated pool. After a day of deep sea fishing or snorkeling/diving at the famous Looe Key Marine Sanctuary, dock your boat at the 40-foot 'L' shaped dock and watch the tarpon play in the glow of the underwater lights. Latitude Adjustment has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and is decorated in a tropical island theme that will definitely have you in the 'vacation' frame of mind. Take in the sunrise while sipping coffee on the fully furnished screened porch or on the private master bedroom balcony overlooking the open water. Just a half an hour drive to the magic of Key West, or minutes to the end of the street to the Looe Key Tiki Bar and Dive Resort for nightly entertainment or daily dive trips.

Rent a boat at the nearby Dolphin Marina (located at MM 28) for some of the best deep sea fishing around or catch the 'Kokomo Cat' from the Looe Key Tiki Bar and Dive Resort for some great snorkeling/diving at the prettiest reef in the Florida Keys. Eat in or dine out under the tiki hut, or at one of any number of local restaurants with an island flair. For a special treat, take the water taxi from Dolphin Marina to the world famous Little Palm Island for a romantic dinner or quiet Sunday brunch. For the young and young at heart, play a round of miniature golf at the nearby Boondocks miniature golf course (located at the end of the street) or head 16 miles north to Marathon where you can frolic and play with the dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center. While in Key West (just 27.5 miles south), be sure to take in the Aquarium, Shipwreck and Butterfly museums before heading to Mallory Square for the nightly sunset party.

We planned our wedding on Smathers Beach in Key West and needed a place for us and our close friends to stay in. I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect than this house!! It's beautifully decorated and lanscaped on a quiet street with all the amenities. It's close to *tons* of major attractions, including the infamous Key West, although between soaking in the pool, gathering in the Florida room, fishing on the dock, or relaxing with a cold drink under the tiki hut, we didn't leave the house much. Thank you for sharing this with us... it made a special occassion even more perfect.

Can't Wait To Go Back

We had a wonderful family vacation! The other reviews are right on!! Everything is very clean, beautifully decorated and landscaped and very well equiped with everything you need and more. We had small children come to visit and the fenced back yard was wonderful. The tiki hut was great fun for evening meals. Beautiful breezes, lights and music made it very festive.The fishermen loved the dock, cleaning station and extra refrigerator in the garage. We have already bragged about this vacation home to family and friends. The homeowners provide excellent customer service and are a joy to work with. We have priceless memories of our stay and we can't wait to go back!!

Perfect

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful house in June, 2009. I already miss swimming in the cool pool during the hot afternoons, sharing a drink with my family under the tiki hut, and fishing off the boat dock trying to catch the elusive tarpon. We enjoyed the large kitchen, the nicely decorated interior and the wonderful bedrooms. The location of the house was perfect for boating with easy access to the open ocean (10 mins) and to the gorgeous Looe Key Reef (20 mins). Without hesitation, I would use this house agian for another perfect keys vacation.

Dreaming of the Keys in Charlotte.

This house was absolutely perfect for our vacation.It was comfortable, very clean, beautifully decorated with quality tropical furniture and a gorgeous open water view. Ramrod Key is a great location to enjoy fishing, snorkeling, boating and day trips to Key West. No detail in this home is forgotten, everything is available for everyday needs as well as entertaining. You can tell that the family that owns this house enjoys having it as they're vacation home.
Other little xtras that made us glad we chose this house are: the pool is nice with colored lights at night, underwater lights at the boat dock so you can see the fish(I loved this), you can catch tarpon and snapper right off of the dock, a well appointed dock for fishermen with a hose, fish cleaning station and a shower. Just like the other review said, the pictures do not do this house justice.

Vacation in Paradise

Three of girlfriends plus myself (55+) spent an amazing time at this 5-star resort! The house was beautifullly furnished in a beach casual atmosphere. There were high ceilings with paddle fans, open kitchen to the dining area/living room, etc. The house still smells new and we were all impressed with the cleanliness and the meticulous grooming to the outside grounds. Spending the day at the pool was a delight and, when we needed a cool drink, we sat under the Tiki Bar and listened to the outside music and watched the boats go by. There was plenty of privacy and several nice restaurants right around the corner. The drive at night to Key West was about 35 minutes and what a treat to see the sun set. This home and location would be good for children and adults of any age. We definitely would like to go back again next year and, of course, the weather was outstanding. Enjoy!!
