Relaxing Reef Romance

It'd been 25 years since my wife and I had been to the Caymans and we were looking for a spectacular time at a first class place. Now with 3 kids and an extra relative that joined us, Reef Romance met every expectation. We've done villas on Virgin Gorda, Turks and Caicos and Hawaii. This was, if not the best at least right at the top. The five bedrooms have ample room and super comfortable beds and furnishings. To wake each morning and look out the window to the turquoise water is a dream. The pool is abit small and simple but very private and refreshing. The sand is as good as SMB but the sea grass and some stones are a little annoying. Roy Johnson who's on the island very close was great if we had any questions or needed anything. All and all it's paradise and you won't be disappointed. Take the snorkel trip out of Rum Point to the stingray sandbar and dinner over at the Lighthouse for a special night is great. We even liked dinner out on the patio at Morritts down at the east end. Otherwise relax and grill out at home since it feels that way pretty quick. The only problem is you won't want to leave.

Reef Romance lives up to its name!

When we walked into Reef Romance last week, we were amazed! It's hard to believe that it was actually more beautiful than its pictures led us to believe.
A large, open living room with a stunning stained glass mural welcomed us and as we explored every room, could not believe how beautifully it was furnished with comfortable, oversized furniture, huge king-sized beds, a large dining room and fabulously furnished kitchen. A beautiful pool and deck shaded with palm trees overlooks the Carribean sea. We spent many hours lounging at poolside, reading and relaxing, and snorkeling in the crystal blue waters a few feet away.
Since Reef Romance is on the Northside of the island, we rented a car so that we could explore the whole island. We spent our days visiting beaches and snorkeling near Rum Point, Cayman Kai, Seven Mile Beach; it was like swimming in an aquarium. Then, we'd come back to our beautiful villa, grill our dinner outside, and relax for the evening. It was a fabulous week-all the more special because of Reef Romance!
