We are only 15 minutes from Kailua and Hawaii Kai which sport wonderful restaurants, galleries, shopping and a great night life. If you would like to snorkel, golf, windsurf or ride the dolphins at Sea Life Park, you can do it all here on the Windward side of Oahu. Nalo Kai offers a peaceful, secure 'home away from home' for all your tropical adventures!

  • Each room has its own television, dresser/closet, air conditioning and private bathroom. There is one common bathroom located in the main part of the house. There is ample sitting available in the Living Room with a 48' screen TV. The spacious, open dining room and living room both have large windows for viewing out to the ocean and beach. The Master Bedroom provides the best views of the surrounding beach and mtns with the spacious lanai and large glass doors. The Ocean Room has an adjacent patio and beautiful blue tiled floor. The sound of the ocean will sing you to sleep. The Garden Room has a separate entrance into the yard and opens up the fragrant gingers and beautiful hibiscus flowers. The Bunk Room is perfect for kids or families. Spacious and private, this room has gorgeous mountain views, hard wood floors and a sitting area complete with three sofas. In addition to the bedrooms, there's an office with computer/printer/fax available for your use during your stay.

Nice house--Questionable neighborhood

I was ready for a once in a lifetime vacation with my children and grandchildren. We arrived at the house and it was all it was supposed to be. Our first morning we headed out to get groceries for the week. Upon arriving back to the house we realized we had been ripped off of all our electronics and valueables. We weren't even there a full day and our vacation was ruined. I will never stay here again.....
Owner's Response: The break-in was an unfortunate, first-time occurrence. There is an alarm system in the home and all guests are given the operation instructions. The alarm was not set and since there were no signs of forced entry, I suspected doors were left unlocked. I also discovered the doors were left unlocked upon departure. Guests are also advised not to leave valuables in plain sight, as there are many windows looking out to the beach.

I do not believe that this is a “questionable neighborhood.” There are nice homes and even nicer people living on our street. It was disappointing for me to discover something like this could happen in my home. It is an unsettling feeling that can be avoided by taking the proper precautions. My compassion is extended to the guests for having experienced something so awful while on vacation.

We have upgraded the security of the home by including a safe available for guests to use, as well as an additional security system. If you have any questions regarding this incident, please contact us through the website.

Best vacation ever!

What an amazing vacation! We loved the house.. plenty of room for all 9 of us. The kids had their own space to hang out and also loved the fenced yard and hot tub.The beach is just steps away and so beautiful. We had the beach all to ourselves most days. After some site seeing we all agreed that our house was the best place to be so, we stayed put and enjoyed boogie boarding, fires on the beach, BBQing, and spending time with friends. This was by far my favorite vacation ever. Can't wait to visit again!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

This was a fantastic setting. The beach could not
have been any nicer. We came with two of our
children, brother and sister in law and their two
kids. We spent over a week and would have loved
to stay longer. The caretaker Rhonda was most
helpful. The unit came with information on local
things to do and see, even recommendations for
nearby restaurants for the nights we didn't want to
cook. The views from the house were
breathtaking. I wish we had the time to go back
this winter. The house was had all the extras
provided which made staying their even better. It
was the best furnished beach rental we have stayed
in and the only one that provided laundry, paper
products, cleaning products beach toys, and other
extras.

We have stayed in Hawaii several times, in hotels
and resorts, but never in a home by the beach.
Now that we have stayed in Nalo Kai, we will never
want to stay anywhere else again! The home was
airy, spacious, and beautiful and had all the
amenities we could ask for. The beach is next to
the house and it was heavenly - smooth sand and
playful waves.
Our family of 13 had plenty of room. The kitchen is
large and clean, the main room is expansive, and
the lanie was breezy and comfortable.
What a great visit; we can't wait to return!
