If you enjoy boating, this property is unbeatable! There is a public boat ramp within a mile of the house and 350 miles of waterfront. The main Lake boating action begins about 500 feet west of your dock. This offers a private and quiet place to water ski, jet ski, provision your boat for fishing, or supervise children in the water. The water at the sea wall is 6' deep, and the hard Georgia sand/clay bottom slopes gently to a depth of 4 ft on the outside of the dock, gently sloping beyond. We can rent you a Pontoon Boat for your stay. This property is 1 mile from the newly approved 500 slip marina and 290 room 4 star hotel on Parks Mill Rd. By car, you are 15 minutes from the 5 star Ritz Carlton @ Reynolds Plantation and 20 minutes to Cuscowilla There are great golf courses all over, not to mention deer and an occasional arrowhead. With names like Carey Station, Stagecoach Road, and Parks Mill Ferry, how could you not feel a connection with history? This is Georgia at its finest!

From I-20, take the Greensboro exit (SR 44) and turn left (north). Proceed across I-20 and you will see a road on the left 20 ft beyond the on-ramp. If there is light traffic, you can left turn onto it, otherwise you can turn left at the fast food entrance and a quick left will bring you back to this road, which you will follow, including following the detour sign (which has been there 10 years). You are on Stage Coach road which will take you back across the interstate to Carey Station Rd at the Tee intersection where you will turn left for 1/8 mile to turn right on Parks Mill Rd.* Take past Parks Mill Ferry (a public boat ramp) to the stop sign @ Parks Mill Trace. The home (1450) is ahead on the right. You can park your boat trailer anywhere near ours or in the driveway. 6 miles from exit. Notes: We offer Pontoon boats for rent; 2007 20' with 90 HP 4 strock Yamaha motor @ $320/day These are delivered directly to you at the dock. We can also offer PWC's or captained waterskiing. Dock on the lake is the maximum size permitted, affording, docking for 2 boats, and several water PWC's. 158 feet on the lake, affords beautiful views! Dogs are the only pets allowed, call for more information. This location is close to the Antebellum Trail of buildings in existence before the Civil War. Union Gen Sherman cut a 50 mile wide path to Savanna from Atlanta. He spared many homes from destruction in Madison (25 min drive) and Milledgeville, the state capital at the time (40 min drive) There is an ATV riders' park near Union Point (25 min drive), which at Thanksgiving, a family from Miami, FL came up to enjoy! Our property manager is Morgan, The Lake Concierge. The above family was able to have a Turkey & Ham for their enjoyment at arrival. She is copied at booking by email!

Lake Details: This property has a unique placement on the shores of the lake. It is off the main north south route by being one property from the corner where the Lake gets wider, affording the fantastic morning to evening views, as well as having practically zero boating traffic. At the current time the lake is 6” deep off the seawall, and gently slopes to 4’ on the boat side of the dock. From there to the east it gently slopes to 7’. We usually tie a large float off about 50’ from the dock for those who do not want to jet ski, water ski, or be towed by water toys. Heading out by boat, you can turn left (south) and get fuel at several locations, get lunch or dinner at the Big Catch (30 min) or Reynolds Plantation (45 min), and enjoy the 350 miles of shore line.

Payment Details: Payment: An advance payment equal to 25% of the rental rate is required within 10 days of booking. Another 50% is required 60 days before arrival. The advance payment will be applied toward the room rent. Payments are accepted via Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express, Pay Pal, traveler’s checks, money orders, or personal checks payable to Robert Mortensen, PA., or the Premier Realty Group. The advance payment is not the damage deposit. The Balance Of RENT is due thirty (30) days before your arrival date.

Golf Courses: Lake Escape House is located within 20 minutes of these world class golf courses: Reynolds Plantation has 4 courses designed by (1)Bob Cupp with Fuzzy Zoeller & Hubert Green, (2)Tom Fazio, (3)Rees-Jones, and Reynolds Landing is Bob Cupp. Harbor Club is designed by Tom Weiskopf & Jay Morrish while Great Waters is Jack Nicklaus. Cuscowilla is also fantastic!

I must say re-entry to reality has been difficult after having just spent 10 days at 'Lake Escape'. Great house. Well equipped. Rented the wonderful boat. Loved being able to take our dog. House is larger than it appears online...there's even a game room with ping-pong table and office area. My friends and family all raved about the house also. It was a great way to spend my 40th birthday. Thanks Bob and team!

We enjoyed the house some much that we are thinking of making it a yearly family reunion destination. Our kids, grandkids, and other family members truly enjoyed the place and location. Suggest you leave more garbage bags, one did not do the job.

I can't say enough about the wonderful time my family and I had during our stay at your home. We rented the home for my father's 86th birthday(9/26) and had other family members come down on Saturday for a full fledge Barbeque. The flat back yard, outside deck/porch, and benches near the lake were the perfect setting for everyone. There was plenty of room for all to spread out and enjoy each other while enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. Once the extra family members left, the adults left took advantage of the hot tub. The home was warmly decorated which made you feel welcome. My father, even though he did not catch very many fish, truly enjoyed his time and looks forward to coming back. Thanks again for the opportunity and we look forward to coming again.

Wish I were still there! We rented the house over the summer for a long weekend to celebrate my daughter’s engagement with family and friends…and still receiving comments about the house, the setting and the lake. The house is well furnished, nicely landscaped, tastefully decorated, clean and very accommodating. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. The large level back yard was great for the kids. The lake view from the house is absolutely gorgeous. The gentle slope in the lake made it comfortable for all ages. The open porch facing the water provided a great place to sit and relax as well as shelter from the few passing showers. The hot tub on the porch was a delight. We also rented one of the pontoon boats for our guests to enjoy…and enjoy they did. Hope to be back again soon!

I can't say enough good things about this property. It's lovely. Great location, wonderful lake views/access, comfortable atmosphere. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation experience then look no further. We can't wait to go back!
