Nearby Beaches- a Sampling: Just a five minute stroll from your door is quiet, protected Dooks beach. Nestled at the mouth of the Caragh River, this half-mile long soft sandy beach is ideal for families with smaller children, thanks to the water (calm and a little warmer than other beaches) and the topography (sand shelves gently, ideal for paddling). Located past the village of Glenbeigh, Rossbeigh beach is a two-mile swath of sand angling out into Dingle bay. This smooth, soft fine-sanded beach attracts sun-lovers, dog walkers, fishermen, horse riders, ornithologists, late-night revelers, kite surfers, surf kayakers and more. Kells Bay/Kells Beach, 12 miles away towards Cahirsiveen, Kells bay is another quiet getaway along the Ring of Kerry. Sheltered from the elements and fed by warm seas that originate in the Gulf of Mexico, Kells is a tropical oasis well worth visiting with palm trees (Yes, palm trees!) down to the waters edge.

Food, Shopping and Events: The Ring of Kerry provides the backbone for an incredible selection of restaurants, shops and bars. Every town features it's own unique blend and tempo but you can rest assured that wherever you go you will have access to incredibly fresh seafood; great gifts; and evenings being entertained by local musicians and performers.
