Our three-story vacation home is child friendly and perfect for your family get-away, family reunion, small corporate retreat, or gathering with friends! The dining table can seat 10, a nearby expandable game table seats 6, the kitchen bar seats 2 (for a total of 18) and there are additional fold-up tables and chairs to seat even larger crowds. Enjoy eating indoors or outdoors in our large screened patio off of the dining room, complete with picnic table that seats 10. You can also enjoy BBQing, roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, star gazing from the jacuzzi, as well as playing volleyball or croquet in the spacious yard, along with many other varied outdoor activities. Bikes are also on the premises for your use. For those vacationers who like to use a gym & spa, there is one located less than a mile from The Hacienda. In fact, you'll pass right by it on your way here.

Location: Grass Valley in USA

Our home is nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range between beautiful Lake Tahoe and the California State Capitol of Sacramento. Reno International Airport is just 1 1/2 hours east and Sacramento International Airport 1 hour to the west. Make a Pacific Coast day-trip of visiting San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, Muir Redwoods, Santa Cruz or Monterey (each are located just 2 to 3 1/2 hours from the house). You can enjoy numerous local and nearby activities such as shopping, biking, hiking, fishing, boating, snowboarding, skiing, rafting and gold panning, along with visiting points of interest like Coloma (where gold was discovered), Donner's State Park, Nevada City, Auburn, and Grass Valley's Empire Mine, to name a few. Look for the binder in our vacation house where you will find all of the scoop on where to go and how to get there. Or, feel free to ask us in advance so that you can plan your activities in more detail before you arrive.

More details: Our vacation home boasts plenty of activities for all ages. The game room is a perfect hang-out spot with a ping pong table, foosball, and air hockey. TV/DVD/Video available for movie viewing, with local channel networks, as well as a PS2 for those who love video games (like our son does)! We have a crib, cradle and high chair for little ones. Three of the bedrooms are a set-up for couples; the other four bedrooms are also set up for couples as well as 1-3 additional people per room. Let us know if you have more than 26 people, and we can check into including additional sleeping arrangements. We have ample off-street parking for cars, RVs, boats and other 'toys'.

More details (con't): The home has a large, comfortable kitchen if you feel like preparing your own meals, or we can refer you to a local caterer if you'd like meals prepared and set up for you here. For further convenience, there are a handful of dining options within five minutes of The Hacienda, as well as numerous dining options fifteen plus minutes away. You'll love the central location to the numerous activities that we've listed (and the many others that we don't have room to list). This is an all-season property (at Christmas you'll even find a lighted & decorated Christmas tree) and we welcome you to come stay for a visit, for as long as you like! See you soon!
