Single Family vacation home available for weekly or long-term renters. 1400 square foot beautifully fully furnished three bedroom home with a newly renovated bathroom. Each bedroom contains either a queen or full bed. Newly renovated bathroom complete with new tub/shower combination unit. Large living room with extended sitting area provides a great play area for kids or evening entertainment. Large eat-in kitchen with updated appliances and large dining table that seats 8 comfortably. The house is located on Sherman Street, two blocks from historic Thames Street, shopping and the waterfront and a 15 min walk to First Beach. House located in residential area of Newport. Quiet hours are enforced by local authorities. Additional amenities include: wood burning fireplace, washer, dryer, large kitchen including dishwasher, new windows, fenced in yard and off street parking. Calendar is kept up to date - please check dates available prior to emailing owner.

Nice Home, Good Location.

A clean, comfortable, charming home. Just a short walk to all attractions yet located in a private and quiet area. Excellent for families with teenagers as they can walk to the beach by themselves. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect location if you have children

I stayed here with my family from the UK which included my mum who is in her 70s and my sister with her 4 year old.

This house is perfectly located as it is private yet centrally located. It is only a few blocks away from the center of town and very close to an excellent playground. I highly recommend this property.

The owners could not have been more helpful. They were a pleasure to deal with. The house was very comfortable. We had a great time.

Great Location!

My family and I recently stayed at this house and found it to be very comfortable. I was worried before we arrived that it may be too far from downtown Newport for our two year old to walk, but upon arrival we found it not only to be close to everything, but a very easy walk for all of our children. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed in the way of linens and toiletries. The laundry facilities made it a lot easier to travel with our youngest, a 5-month old, who creates a constant stream of laundry, and the baby gear at the unit came in handy so we didn't have to pack as much. The only drawback was the beds were a little uncomfortable, but the good parts definately outweighed that.
Owner's Response: Thanks for your feedback! Yes, we agree that two of the three beds are a bit uncomfortable - the boxsprings are a bit unforgiving and squeaky. We plan to upgrade the beds for the 2009 rental season. We're happy you enjoyed your stay.

Our large family thoroughly enjoyed staying at this home for several weeks while waiting to get into our permanent home in the area. It was an easy walk down to the "tourist" area, with a couple of playgrounds close by, too, and a (junior league?) baseball field where we caught some free games. For a temporary place for an incoming War College family, this checked the block at the right price and right location in town. We'd definitely stay here again.
