Tillicum Lodge, a beach front, cedar home is on a private, wooded acre on the central Oregon coast. The 2400 sq ft (223 sq m) house sits on a low bank overlooking seven miles of wide, sandy beach which is easily reached by a short path right out the gate. The house is surrounded by a lovely garden and yard with sitting areas and a timeworn beach bench. It is decorated throughout with art and objects collected from around the world. The Pacific Ocean view is spectacular whether it’s a summer sunset or wild winter storms.

Tillicum Lodge is located about 4 miles north of Yachats, 4 miles south of Waldport and 15 miles south of Newport in the middle of the Oregon Pacific Coast Scenic Byway. Yachats is a quaint little coastal town of about 400 people. The area is noted for its pounding surf, mature forests, fish filled lakes and both its uncrowded sandy beaches and its rocky shores. Nearby is the Oregon Coast Aquarium, the Hatfield Marine Science Center, Sea Lion Caves, Cape Perpetua (the highest point on the Oregon coast with fantastic panoramic views) , historic lighthouses, performing arts centers, galleries, antique stores, botanical gardens, and quaint shops.

We had a wonderful stay at the house. Everything it promised and more. quick trip up and down the coast for exploring. close to kayaking, crabbing, fishing and hiking places. best of all, lay in bed and watch the waves. Great for families.

A Hidden Treasure On the Beach.

Tillicum Lodge is the perfect place to decompress from the hustle and bustle of life. It is better than the pictures show.Upon arrival Tillicum Lodge is very clean. You wake up to the spectacular ocean views, prompting an early morning beach walk,searching for seashells and sand dollars, followed by having coffee and cooking breakfast in the awesome kitchen equipped with anything you need including the great ocean views to inspire.
All you need to bring is clothes, toothbrush and food.

I highly recommend Tillicum Lodge for your next beach trip with the family or a romantic getaway.
