This home is located in upscale neighborhood ten minutes from the Broadmoor Hotel and offers an excellent value for families, couples, or business persons looking for a secluded home to get away from it all. Why stay in a cramped hotel? The rooms are spacious and exceptionally well maintained. This Swiss Chalet has five beautiful bed rooms, three queen beds, and two California king-size bed. The king bed in the master bedroom is a adjustable with massage controls.

The country kitchen is complete with dishwasher, stove, oven range and refrigerator, and features Italian marble tile flooring. For dining, you will enjoy the attached breakfast nook as well as the formal dining room. Both sitting room AND the family room are great for entertaining or just relaxing. Stairs make the deck with hot tub accessible from the outdoors as well as having access from the master bedroom.

Although secluded in the foothills, tourist attractions such as Seven Falls, The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Cave of the Winds, Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, and Pikes Peak are all within a very short drive. The drive from the Colorado Springs Airport is only 20 minutes.

The Swiss Chalet style Townhouse is very popular with it`s 5475 Sq. Ft. living plus 1100 sq. ft. of deck. Nice but description not quite accurate

I stayed in this house recently with 17 extended family members, including 6 kids under 10 and 2 teenagers. I might stay there again or recommend it, but only with some significant caveats. You should know that one of the "bedrooms" is actually a loft above the family room with only a shear curtain for a wall. The people trying to sleep in that room hear all the sounds from the first floor kitchen, family, dining and living rooms. Not good for kids at all - and each of our rooms had kids in it. Second, although the air beds are comfortable, the "finished garage" got cold and they don't supply bedding for the airbeds. We had to cobble together spare pillows and blankets, and if one of us hadn't just come from a camping trip, we would have had to go buy sleeping bags. (We had been told bedding was supplied, and when we called they just told us that most people bring sleeping bags.) Third, there is no place to put garbage outside (and lots of wildlife), and after a few days, the food and baby diapers really started to stink in the closet where we were told to leave it. (We also didn't appreciate having to haul the bags up the road before 8 am one morning.) Finally, no exercise equipment as shown in photos, although we didn't care about that.
With all those clarifications and reservations, it was a good place to stay. It is a big house with lots of space and a big kitchen - plus two grills and a huge picnic table in the backyard. Extra sturdy bridge tables and chairs so we could all eat at once. Clean and comfortable. There were lots of supplies like laundry detergent and spices so we didn't have to buy everything. If they would wall in the loft, buy some garbage cans, and supply bedding for the airbeds, it would be much better. Great location up on the mountain and so much to do in Colorado Springs. Deer in the front yard a couple of times too! If you know what you're getting, then I would recommend.

Not exactly as advertised:

No bedroom with 2 queen beds-only one bed in each room.

2nd bedroom in section 1 not a bedroom at all, but a loft with a sheer curtain right over the livingroom with TV. Also all kitchen sounds heard in that "room."

Comfortable airbeds, but no bedding supplied

No outside place to store garbage until weekly pickup.

No equipment in gym.

The location was beautiful. The property was clean. Woman contact was new and not particularly helpful.
I would recommend the property with the caveats above.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
