We are on 34 acres with a striking mesa immediately behind the property and beautiful views of the Sleeping Ute Mountain. The house is a wonderful home base for the Four Corners area and Mesa Verde park. It is has an extensive library of books and other information about the area as well as a number of DVDs for your enjoyment. The living room/kitchen have walnut floors and there are large windows that create a beautiful sunny space with lovely views of the Ute mountain and the mesa. The decor is a mix of Native American items as well as those from our travels abroad to Africa, Haiti, China and Korea. There is a private courtyard filled with flowers that draws dozens of hummingbirds and as well as other gardens that are inviting to stroll through. We have lived in the area for over 10 years and really enjoy helping people create a memorable visit!

Our area has a huge number of ancient ruins to visit including Hovenweep, Ute Mountain tribal park, Lowry ruins and Canyon of the Ancients. There are 3 farmers markets during the summer and fall, a hot air balloon festival and 2 local wineries (one is open every day, the other by appointment) There are many lovely sites for hiking and biking and magnificent scenic drives through mountains or desert, all within a 1-2 hour distance.

Quiet Well-appointed Get-Away

The Brunk Guest House was everything we had hoped to find - filled with creature comforts, quiet, beautiful surroundings and close to the national parks we wanted to explore. The owners, Becky and Don, thought of just about everything a person could want from the quiet enclosed patio garden to the cozy living area complete with fireplace. I would highly recommend this and we plan to stay again. The SW Colorado area is great for historical discoveries and also some great shopping. Coming back to the guest house each day after hiking and exploring felt like coming home. Their personalized guide to the area was very helpful and accurate. Wish we'd had more time there.....

This attractively designed little guest home provided all we needed for our trip to see Mesa Verde and the surrounding area attractions...plus lots of extras. It was tidy, neat, and very well maintained. The orientation of the guest home with the flowered courtyard permitted plenty of privacy. Coming back to the rental after a hot and tiring (but fun!) day seeing the ruins was peaceful, cool, and relaxing. This rental home is great for those who like to experience more space and local atmosphere than a hotel or motel.

Just Beautiful

This property is beautiful inside and out.The courtyard is fill with color and life with the variety of flowers,hummingbirds, and gorgeous sunsets.The interior is tastefully done and very comfortable.We enjoyed walking with the dogs to the canal and getting a better look at the mesa.We have highly recommended
this home to our friends.

I have stayed at this lovely cottage a couple of times now - it is one of my favorite homes away from home. The property is lovely and the setup and the amenities are perfect. Views of the mesa and the Ute with lovely gardens all around.

This area, near Mesa Verde and with access to some absolutely gorgeous areas in Colorado, is an outdoor delight. I enjoy getting out to explore and take pictures and there are fabulous options nearby making this location a great base for just a few days or a week.

I would and have recommended this property to friends. Check out the Main Book Co in Cortez, dine at Kennebec, take day trips to Durango - and of course, visit Mesa Verde itself.

Beautiful guesthouse

This guesthouse is a wonderful place to stay, with good views, beautiful gardens, and and a nice, quiet location. The cottage is cozy, bright and inviting, and is very well equipped. Becky and Don are warm and attentive hosts, and they have paid attention to every detail to ensure the comfort of their guests. We have stayed here numerous times during the past year as we monitor the construction of our Colorado home, and we always look forward to returning to this tranquil place. During our travels we have stayed in many vacation homes and condos, and this one stands out as one of the best!
