Above the Clouds - Log Cabin - Top of the mountain dramatic views from decks on three levels. [3] acres bordering the National Forest. [9] acres of privacy - A setting with close in mountain and valley views and long range mountain views of North Carolina. This 5-year old cabin features an all wood interior, wood burning fireplace, central heat and air, a large kitchen with island, a cozy family room with TV and large pine dining table on the main level, and a large partially covered deck with wicker furniture. Upstairs to a private master bedroom with a full bathroom, a loft with bunk beds and a trundle bed, a private deck with outdoor seating. Downstairs to a second cozy family room with TV, bar with mini frig and coffee maker and a small pool table, a covered private deck with porch swing and outdoor dining furniture, a bedroom with twin beds and cedar closet, and a full bathroom. 10 minutes to Crane Creek Vineyard 15 minutes to John C Cambell Folk School

My family had a great time staying at the cabin. The kids played in the woods and my husband and I relaxed on the decks with the breathtaking views. There was so many things to see and do. We went tubing, antiquing, visited amazing waterfalls and just had a blast. The cabin is very clean and well maintained and the owners are great. I would recommend this cabin to all of my family and friends.

we had a great time at the cabin the kids had a blast. we say 5 wild turkeys in the drive way and that way great. in stormed the whole time but we still did alot. If we come that way again we will stay at the cabin again.

Secluded and Quiet, no traffic!

Great price when we booked, very comfortable for 4 adults without us being on top of each other. Not used to satellite tv but easy enough to figure out + there are instructions. Liked the notecards placed in areas to help us remember things. Definately woodsy so lots of biting bugs, thankfully there was household bug spray provided but highly suggest bring DEET or your preferred bug repellant for outside unless its winter. We loved the views from the decks & the swing. Lots of extras around the cabin we didn't expect, like soaps, laundry stuff, food supplies, condiments, etc... Next time packing and groceries will be lighter. We went away mainly for quiet rest & this place was great. Don't forget to turn the hot water on when you arrive, otherwise its cold showers. Cabin is high up & the drive is steep but we had a 4WD so no problem. There was no traffic except the couple of neighbors which were quiet when driving by. We hope development doesn't take over. The downstairs got a little cooler at night then upstairs (obviously heat rises) but there were xtra blankets for downstairs if needed. Owner was easy to get a hold of & responded promptly. There was information around for local attractions. Robyns Nest was a cute shop close by to look for cute, odd things & there was more packed inside then it looked like it would hold on the outside.

Great place to go, get away and relax.

We stayed during Christmas 2007, and had a great time. This is a great place to go if you are looking to get away from every day stress and want peace and quiet. The view is fantastic from the Decks. Very clean and well taken care of. The only problem we had was with the Dryer taking to long to dry clothing. I would highly recommend this Cabin and have to my family and friends.

The directions were great. The location is wonderful if you like the mountains and sightseeing. You could also enjoy just being in the mountains and read a good book on the decks. The view is wonderful. The cabin location is so near to great little shopping excursions. Also some really good food can be found very near. We just loved everything about the cabin.
