With private entrance and wrap-around deck with hot tub, affording stunning westerly views (suitable for amazing star-gazing!), our Casita is comfortably furnished in Southwestern decor and beautifully appointed with textile art, folk art, Saltillo tile floors (with radiant heating) and Mexican Talavera tile throughout.

Our fully equipped kitchen provides everything you will need for cooking during your stay, including: quality appliances, cookware and utensils, along with a full complement of herbs and spices. Cook with (and drink) our pure, fresh mountain well water! Enjoy a full bathroom with tiled tub and shower. Our Casita is ideal for single persons, a couple or a couple with a small child. A queen-sized bed, with a top-of-the-line Simmons Beautyrest pillow-top mattress, silk blanket and quality linens, comfortably accommodates two guests.

A raised twin aero-bed, with heated mattress pad, is available for an additional guest. Tempurpedic pillows are available upon request. Complimentary laundry service for stays of one week or more. Children and pets are warmly welcomed with Owner's prior approval.

We absolutely loved this little home! Superbly decorated! The kitchen was well stocked with everything a cook would need. We slept well every night, the mattress was unbelievably comfortable rivaling our Temperpedic bed at home. Summer nights in Taos are cool and Maggie is right, you do not need air conditioning! The hot tub was great for relaxing after a long day of hiking, and the shower was roomy with great water pressure. Taos & the surronding area is beautiful we had a great week and hope to come back some day!

Quiet retreat

Lovely, restful location. We came intending to do lots of activities, but quickly decided to do lots of relaxing instead! Hot tub was a much used/much loved feature. Maggie and Mary were wonderful hosts - we also greatly appreciated Maggie's snow shovelling prowess!

We would definitely recommend this rental.

Is it possible to be homesick for a vacation spot?

Whenever we find a gem of a vacation spot, we're always tempted to keep it our little secret. But we've gotten in touch with our generous sides and decided to share the fact that Mary and Maggie's casita is FANTASTIC. In early December, my husband and I enjoyed a week's visit at the casita, and we've been raving about our trip -- and the hospitality -- ever since.

The casita is even cosier than it looks in the pictures -- with the warm tile floors, comfy leather couches, and amazing views from the French doors, we found it hard to get up and out each day. But it's also the perfect starting point for adventures in the area. With Maggie's guidance, we visited Wild Rivers and Bandelier; it's a relatively easy drive to Santa Fe and Albuquerque, too. And best of all, it's really close to the Taos Diner, our favorite spot for breakfast.

While my husband and I always have a long list of "new" places that we want to see, we'd come back to Taos and the casita in a heartbeat. (Maggie, next time Rob will take you up on that fishing offer!)

Thanks for a wonderful getaway -- looking forward to next time!

Very clean and awsome views

Perfect get away spot. Casita was extremely clean and well furnished and stocked with all kitchen needs. The hot tub is fabulous on cold nights with amazing views of the stars. Very quiet and secluded and perfect for a couple or couple with a baby, not any older. When exiting Mesa Sea Road turn left, instead of right to the main road, and go to the Rio Grande Gorge, its amazing.

Great home. Hot tub experience viewing the stars was great. The home was very charming and very clean. The only downside was the road to the home was very rutted.
