A cozy abode in Wheaton

We had a truly wonderful visit to IL recently and this home provided a cozy and convenient base of operations for us. We came in from AZ and encountered a snowstorm and less than desirable IL temperatures. Fortunately, this cottage is Wheaton welcomed us each day with the comforts of home and toasty temperatures inside!.

We found good restaurants, transportation, and shops to be a short, pleasant walk from our doorstep. The owner welcomed us on arrival and was friendly and hospitable. We felt like friends visiting from out of town.

Thank you for sharing this "home away from home" with a couple of ex-Illinoisans. We hope to return soon.

Best Place to Stay in the Wheaton Area

This house far exceeded our expections and provided a restful haven during the week before our oldest daughter's wedding (Sept. 2008). The owner greeted us at the door and made us feel right at home. She'd even set out some cheese, crackers, and grapes for us! The Pack 'n' Play was clean and in great condition. One pad cover and a small quilt were provided also. The entire house and yard were immaculate.
There's a great coffee shop - Caribou's - within walking distance. In fact, Front Street/Downtown Wheaton is walking distance. Gino's East is walking distance also (2 blocks) if you'd like to try Chicago deep dish pizza. Egg Harbor and Shane's Deli are both excellent, though they're a short drive. A Jewel-Osco grocery is about a 5 minute drive.
We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this house over any hotel in the Wheaton area.

Downtown Wheaton House

This is a pristine house in the heart of downtown Wheaton: a stone's throw to the train station that will whisk you into Chicago, and steps from lots of boutique shops and restaurants.

The house has been completely re-modeled with hardwood floors throughout and a beautiful kitchen with brand new appliances and granite counter tops.

The owners have thought of every detail to make your stay comfortable and we were greeted with an appetizer tray upon arrival.

We were concerned about the noise due to the train tracks being so close but I assure you that it is not an issue at all. We are very picky when it comes to this issue but the trains never blow their horns through this town and we did not notice any noise at all.

For anyone looking to stay in the Wheaton area for more than a night or two, I highly recommend this exceptional rental home.

My husband and I rented this newly renovated adorable home in May 2008 as we were in town for the adoption of our son. We will forever have fond memories of this lovely, clean, spacious home so freshly decorated with lots of love! What a wonderful home in a wonderful location so close-by to the old shopping street, campus and the train station. The owners went above-and-beyond the call of duty to provide us with everything we might need for our "new arrival" and we felt very much at home. We would HIGHLY recommend this rental property whose accommodations FAR EXCEEDS any hotel you might choose.
