Photos and Description of this Pemaquid Beach holiday townhome 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, sleeps 6-8

The Tavern is a large, two-story house that has accommodations for as many as eight. The Tavern is ideal for larger families or two or three couples. There are three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and a large living room kitchen downstairs. A red enamel gas stove (with flames) takes the chill off the occasional cool nights.The front porch runs the length of the front of the house(20’-10’). It’s a great place for children to play, to watch the sunsets over the bay and for simply relaxing. Includes: 1 Queen, 1 Full and 2 Twin size beds plus one fold out couch. Full bath contains 1 shower, no tub. Large living room, heat, large kitchen with updated appliances, view of ocean from living room, 2 bedrooms and front porch. Property has a TV, VCR and DVD players.

Family friendly and relaxing

Our family enjoyed a week in the Tavern lodgings and had a wonderful relaxing vacation. The kids brought their bikes and played hopscotch and whiffle-ball in the street. It was like being a kid again myself. We brought our canoe and road around the cove where the seals came all around us. The owners are extremely friendly and kind and the Tavern was well equipped for all of our family's needs. My husband and I spent our evenings on the front porch swing watching the sunset over the ocean as the children enjoyed a week of playing games together, building sand castles and searching for shells and crabs along the rocks. We had a beautiful night on the local Puffin cruise and bought local caught lobster and steamers then brought it back to the Tavern which had everything we needed to enjoy a delicious meal. The local grocery was a fine substitute to the basic foods that we brought and the ice cream shop is just around the corner. We recommend this to families of all ages and sizes who may be looking for a week away to enjoy the gift of each-other!

Very cosy and Large. Close to many attractions

I spent the Memorial Day weekend with my family and In-laws, the Tavern is almost 300 years old but it is well equipped. the owners are very friendly. The place is a walking distance to the Pemaquid Beach State Park and to the Pemaquid Fort. You can see the moon from the sky light in the master bedroom. So if you are looking for a cozy place with a touch of history, friendly owners and something for people 6 to 70 years old then the Tavern gets my full recommendation.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
