Great Vacation

We had a great vacation... A very nice clean / well maintained property, exactly as described, it would sleep 6 comfortably, but the 2 twin beds are more suitable for children and could do with new mattresses. Although the kitchen is well stocked with plates it could benefit from some more glasses (some for wine) and knives.
The air-conditioning in the main part of the property makes hot days bearable.
Be prepared for the 4 mile unpaved road to get to the lake, but it's worth the trip.
The lake is quiet enough to use the canoe and kayak (which come with lifejackets) without any problems and the water temp for swimming was very pleasant, there is a large rock that can be reached easily by canoe that provides great fun by climbing up and jumping into the lake. There are plenty of folks with boats / jet skis and public launching is available. There are plenty of fish in the lake and some of them are quite large!
The owners could not have been more helpful / responsive and even set a fire in the outdoor fireplace.
Even on wet evenings the screened porch is wonderful, sitting reading / playing board games (supplied). Although there is a TV, we could only receive 2 local channels, but with everything else to do in the area and on the lake to do why watch TV?
There are no restaurants close by, so be prepared to drive into Ellsworth or towards Bar Harbor.
For the price paid, we would certainly recommend this property to anyone.
