Baan Saitara is a collection of 10 boutique villas located on a serene hillside just south of Lamai beach Koh Samui. Each villa accommodates 6 guests and has three air-conditioned bedrooms - 2 with en-suite bathrooms and 'bali' showers. All villas have infinity pools overlooking spectacular sea views and are beautifully furnished in contemporary Thai style and fully equipped with satellite TV and Wifi for Internet access.

Absolute Bliss!

The pictures do not do the views of this villa justice. It was all we expected and more. Situated on a steep hill the villa is located not only close to the beach but also some great restaurants. I definitely recommend a car as the better restaurants and beaches are closer to Lamai which is about a 10 minute drive and I wouldn't fancy walking up the hill to the house anyway. The house had everything we could need and a very well equipped kitchen although we didn't eat in that often. The pool was fabulous and our children had a blast jumping in and out all day. The pool was also very private with no other villas overlooking it. The house was also immaculate. Cat, the manager was very helpful as well. All in all a wonderful place to stay and my family will definitely be back.

Our family enjoyed spending our spring break of 09 in this lovely villa. It is very relaxing especially coming home after navigating the local traffic. It sits up on the hill and from the pool and deck area you have a beautiful view. The drive is a bit steep so I recommend a four wheel drive to take you there. It is very clean and has all of your amenities. It really is a tropical paradise and a great place to unwind.

Multiple Couples Layout

We went with another couple to Koh Samui and were looking for great quality at a good price. The super thing about this place is that my wife and I had the upstairs master with our two kids next door and friends of ours with their baby had a full, second master, downstairs, with the connection just along the poolside. So we had great weather, terrific views and the 6 of us, plus baby, got a great deal. Each villa is independently owned, so you get some variation in each unit. We were thrilled to find games, movies and books for the kids as well as the full kitchen, living room and best of all the pool. While we did go into the main area of Chewang a couple nights, there were lots of local restaurants a short drive away from the villa, much closer. Lastly, the managers of this place arranged for access to a killer spa just 5 minutes down the road for my wife, which I had trouble keeping her out of thereafter. Beaches are best a little north and south, but when you are relaxing and bobbing in the pool, who cares?

Exceptional

We had an opportunity to stay at this Villa last year and the experience was just exceptional. This was true family time as the kids were enjoying the pool and my wife and I were lounging in the balcony watching the amazing view of the Ocean. The music system, DVD, TV and other facilities in the kitchen were top class. The furtniture etc was very resort like. The lady managing the Property was a great help and organized massages in the villa, car rentals, tickets to shows etc. The Villa is located on the hill away from the hustle bustle making it a quite & scenic spot.
After this experience we only book villas on our holidays to any destination. We are planning to go back to Koh Samui and look forward to staying again at Bann Saitara.

Super Villa with breathtaking view

Baan Saitara clearly exceeded our expectations. We spent 8 nights there together with our 2 children (4&8yrs) and enjoyed every minute of it.
The villa we stayed in was in the 2nd row, overlooking two other villas in the front-row which turned out to be not a problem at all. The incline of the hill they're located on, is very steep, therefore we enjoyed the same wonderful view, and privacy, as shown on the pictures!
As mentioned in the other reviews, the interior and exterior of the villas is of very high class, is very well kept and very clean! Housekeeping did a wonderful & friendly job, too. On top, we found tons of games, movies, and CDs in our unit, which made our stay just one bit more comfortable.
Cat, our contact & manager there was extremely nice and super helpful whenever we had a question. She also arranged our Suzuki Jeep for us. An absolute neccessity as it allowed us to get around on the island find our favorite beaches away from the most "touristy" areas. Once back in the afternoon, the pool was perfect for the kids to play some more and enjoy some shade on our own patio.
Overall, a stunning place, which we'd go back to again without any hesitation. Wonderful place where you won't go wrong.
