We are located just 5 miles N of Franklin off US 441. The elevation is above 3200 ft; with easy paved and gravel road access to the cabin from US 441. Our Smoky Mountain vacation cabin is also close to many great areas; less than 5 miles away on Highway 64 is the start of one of the most scenic sections of road in North Carolina. It starts with the Cullasaja falls and then winds its way along parallel to the Cullasaja River past many beautiful smaller falls and scenic areas until you reach the town of Highlands where, for a change of pace, you can visit all the posh restaurants and unique boutiques. Along the way there is 'Cliffside Lake Park' or 'Lake Glenville' which are fun for sightseeing, swimming, fishing, boating and nearby hiking. Franklin - 5 minutes; Highlands - 30 minutes; Dillsboro - 15 minutes; Sylva - 15 minutes; Murphy - 50 minutes; Blue Ridge Parkway - 30 minutes; Cherokee - 1 hour; Maggie Valley - 1 hour.
