Beautiful new construction 3 story beach home directly on the Delaware Bay in Bowers Beach. Second year rentals. Families only please. Very open and airy with water views from every window. A quiet birding paradise! Sandy beach, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Public boat ramp within 1 mile. Headboat charters available for fishing. Only minutes from golf courses, restaurants, Dover Downs and Dover Motor speedway. Driving distance to the Lewis/Cape May ferry and the towns of Lewes and Rehobeth Beach. Area is a wildlife haven surrounded by conservation lands and Federal wildlife reserves.

Notes: Bring your telescope and binoculars for awesome birding, stargazing, scanning the horizon for ships. This home has an inverted floor plan with the kitchen and great room on the top floor. Kitchen has beautiful granite countertops. The great room is mostly glass facing the Delaware bay with a large deck. The lower level is the bedroom level and also has a family room with a wet bar, mini fridge, microwave and massive game table for puzzles or card games. This floor also has a large deck. Living areas have numerous ceiling fans; as well as each bedroom. Water views from every window.

Two Weeks of Relaxation and Amazing Beach Views

The website does not do the house justice. It is just amazing. You cant want for anything in the house. The location on the bay is great and we very much enjoyed the daily walks on the beach, the low and high tides and the quietness of the area. Bowers Beach is about 30 minutes north of Lewes and Rehobeth Beach. It was a one hour drive to Ocean City MD as well. We had no trouble traveling to all the craziness in Ocean City and Rehobeth, having a great time and then returning home to the tranquility of the house and the bay. We would highly recommend jet skiing at least once. It was a highlight!! Our family 2 adults plus 3 kids ages 10,10 and 8 enjoyed our stay. We did lots of bike rides and walks and just generally enjoyed not being "home". Dealing with the owners was breeze, they were very responsive and worked with us on the dates we were interested in spending at the house. Just a suggestion, get your supplies prior to coming to the house as there is no store in Bowers. We went to Dover which is only 15 minutes north of the house where there is everything you need. If you like to fish there are charter boats that leave everyday from Bowers Beach. You can also fish off the beach. On a nice night try JP WHARFS for dinner. They are in Bowers and on the water. Nice outside deck and great fish. The only thing that we were disappointed in was that we could not have stayed longer.

Not quite the ocean, but very nice...

Our family enjoyed staying at Bowers Beach. The home is beautiful with every amenity you might require, right down to beach chairs. The beach was recently replenished and while the sand near the surf was soft and pleasant to walk on with bare feet, the hard-packed sand closer to the house was a bit more challenging for little feet. Our boys (2 and 6) really enjoyed splashing and jumping in the shallow surf and Dad enjoyed the swimming. The guys also found the horseshoe crabs that were scattered here and there to be a source of endless fascination. Overall, we would highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a mellow, quiet vacation. If mini-golf and board walk strolls are your speed, look elsewhere. Also, be aware that you'll have to travel a bit to reach stores; we found Milford (about 15 miles away) to be convenient. That said, there is a farm stand located on Rt 1 where the road to Bower's Beach enters that highway that had the most incredible fresh fruits and vegetables (try the Black Diamond watermelons!).

Best Beach Vacation

This home and area is spectacular! The owners are friendly and very accommodating. The Bay was beautiful, private and relaxing. It was the perfect vacation spot for our family. The Dover Air Force planes are entertaining as are all the sea and wild life. From the breathtaking sunrises, sets, sounds of the grass and waves, to the plush surroundings of the house, it just cannot get better than here! We very much hope to be back. You will not be disappointed renting this beach house.
