Chalet Rental: 5 Bedrooms, Sleeps 14 in Albrightsville

We rented this house during the first week of August 2011. Before I get into a review of the house, I wanted to compliment Michelle on her quick response regarding my initial inquiry about the house and all questions I had afterwards. She was very quick to follow-up and the entire rental process was a breeze. Thank you very much! We had a total of 8 adults and 6 children (many under the age of two) at the house for the entire week and we were not crowded at all. The house has an excellent location to the beach area, pool, playground, clubhouse...etc and that certainily made things much easier for those with little ones! The beach area was great and a good alternative to the pool (when it got crowded). There were so many things to do in the area - Camel Beach water park (blast!), white water rafting (blast!), butterfly house (very cool), and the town of Jim Thorpe was very neat. The hot tub at the house was a very welcomed sight for many of the adutls at the end of the activity filled days. We also enjoyed the kayaks and took them out many times throughout the week. For the children, I would have to say the highlight may have been feeding the ducks that visited the lake each day. All in all it was an excellent vacation. I highly recommend the house and the area!

We just rented this house this past weekend for 3 nights and we LOVED the house. It's very clean and very cozy and beautiful! Michelle was super sweet and helpful. She met us there to show us around and had the hot tub all ready for us! There were 5 couples and we had plenty of room. All the rooms have queen beds which we liked. The layout of the house is so spacious and comfortable. You first walk in and the floors of the 1st floor living area are gorgeous with the wet bar and 2 bedrooms and full bathroom. We were so impressed with the 1st floor then we walk up to the 2nd floor and it's very open. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and very organized and has everything you need. There is a lot of natural light! There are 2 bedrooms and another full bath. The men loved the speakers through the house with the surround sound. The master suite is huge with a beautiful master bath on it's own floor! The house is close to a couple grocery stores and Michelle has directions to everything you need. The outlets are only 20 mins away and the neighborhood clubhouse is a 1 minute walk. If you're going to go there, you need a membership to drink there. We were lucky and someone signed us in as their guests so we didn't have to buy a membership. This house is very modern and kept very clean and the owners definitely put a lot into it and take pride in it and it shows. There is nothing negative I can say about the house. We can't wait to go back!

This vacation rental house was perfect for our Annual Cousin's Vacation group of 14 making another great trip with grandma and grandpa and kids of all ages. We enjoyed this huge 3000 sq ft house, very social layout, lot of space for everyone to spread out and have their fun without being on top of each other....With wall to wall windows and huge dining table, we felt like we were outside on the patio even when we were inside. The house was great,, very social layout, plenty of space for everyone to spread out, game room with foosball was a hit. Plenty of parking, lots of restaurants nearby, too. We spent months hunting for a vacation rental to comfortably accommodate our multiplying crew and we rejected lots of nice houses for one amenity or another…

Everyone enjoyed the calm lake,... spending the whole day out on the kayaks and canoe... All the kids enjoyed the day White Water Rafting at nearby Jim Thorpe. Just hanging out and laughing with each other is all we really needed to have fun at the 2008 Cousins Vacation.
