Located in the Heart of Old San Juan, this luxury structure dates back to the 1800s having been refurbished successively during the 1900s and most recently for the opening of Caleta Apartments Its 17 feet high ceilings and 24 inch thick brick walls depict the traditional Colonial-Spanish-Tropical architecture of the time. These features originally created to maintain these large homes aired, by constantly circulating fresh air from its ample interiors. Casa Blanca Apartment The name of this apartment comes from the name of the home of descendants of Juan Ponce de Leon, the first governor of Puerto Rico, (its located 3 blocks away from the apartment) with ample gardens and completely white as it’s name indicates. The soul of this apartment is its indoor patio, from which the entire apartment goes around. The patio is decorated with tropical plants ideal to sit in the shade and enjoying a great book you have been meaning to read all year.

The apartment consists of a master bedroom, living room and kitchen w/ dinning. All rooms circulate the patio. As you enter the apartment through the living room you will find the perfect combination between modern and rustic Old San Juan style, with its white walls and brick floor. It has a 47’ LCD TV (w/ satellite), closet, ½ bathroom and a sleeper sofa for 2 additional guests.

Across the patio you will find a fully equipped kitchen & dining room. In between these two rooms, two Old San Juan doors lead to the master room. The master bedroom has a queen size orthopedic bed and a master bathroom decorated with cream color travertine which blending perfectly with Casa Blanca’s ambiance.

This is a very nice apartment: in particular the space and furnishings, location and daily maid service. The best was one of the most comfortable I ever slept in away from home It is very near the super market, trolley stops,, places to eat and various shops of Old San Juan. Also I like the quietness of the area.

The apartment was very clean; located on the lower level; also I like the security of the apartment (a key was needed to enter the building.

The only area of improvement I would suggest is: the water in the shower was colder than I am accustomed to.

The landlord was very nice; provided timely airport pickup and was accessible if needed. I woudl stay her again many times over.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
