Tamarack is located within walking distance of all resort amenities including ski slopes, indoor pool and spa, restaurants, water park and golf courses. Home Features Include: 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, fully equipped kitchen (all new) with dishwasher, microwave and coffee-maker, cable TV and DVD players in the living room as well as all bedrooms, wood burning fireplace, whirlpool tub, phone, deck with furniture, gas grill and fire pit. Also enjoy the Foosball table, classic Nintendo 64, toys and games, chairlift swing, and 2 adult and 3 children's bikes. Extras include washer and dryer, large utility room for all your gear, and two car garage. Sleeps up to 12 maximum with 1 king, 1 queen, 2 twins, 1 set of bunk beds and 2 sleeper sofas. Now enjoy high speed wireless internet access.

Crystal Mountain resort itself offers great downhill and cross country skiing and 2 terrific terrain parks, (including a half-pipe) Crystal Mountain was recently rated the #1 ski resort in the mid-west. After skiing, take a dip in the indoor pool or hot tub or relax at the soon to be completed spa. Not to be overlooked in fair weather, Crystal offers great golf with two courses on the property, and dozens of choices within the area. For the kids, Crystal offers a beautiful new water-park with climbing wall. Also New to Crystal this year is an Alpine slide. Other recreation in the area includes hiking and biking trails, canoeing, water-sports, and fishing. Just a short drive away is the charming town of Frankfort on Lake Michigan offering great shopping and a beautiful public beach. Head out to Traverse City for a day of sight-seeing and shopping.

My college roommates and I do a "Girls Weekend" every August. This year we chose The Tamarack. It was gorgeous- spotless-new granite and beautiful wood and ski theme decor. The layout was perfect for the 10 of us. We had the best time- we enjoyed outdoor fires every night. Saturday evening we took the chairlift to the top of Crystal Mountain and enjoyed the singer and watched the gorgeous sunset. We enjoyed the spa and also the outdoor pool. This place would be great in the winter as well - perfectly set up for skis and winter sports.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
