You can cruise by boat and dock at the famous World Wide Sportsman. Have a couple of cocktails at the Zane Grey Bar and then eat at the famous Pierre's Restaurant for a romantic dinner. The Morada Sands has all the amenities in luxury accommodations. Being a three story residence, an elevator takes you to the second floor where a metal-roofed cabana bedroom awaits you. A spacious gourmet kitchen serves you and friends with plenty of locations to eat. Enjoy boating, kayaking, walking along the sandy beach, a dip in the pool, breezes under the Tiki Hut, cocktails under the coconut palms or billiards in the ground floor billiard room. Morada Sands is located at mile marker 74.5 in Port Antigua Neighborhood on the bay side, with direct access to the Florida Bay and a five minute access to the Atlantic Ocean via Channel 2 or 5 bridge. It is also in close proximity the the Village of Islamorada which features fine dining, quaint boutiques, day spas, charter boats, water sports and the famous Islamorada Sandbar. With Miami and Key West both just 1.5 hours away, day trips are close at hand. If you want to stay close by, there is plenty to do right here. Ride the glass bottom boat at John Pennekamp State Park, Swim with the Dolphins, Dive, Snorkle, Airboat in the Everglades, fly above the waters on a parasail, or simply sit back and enjoy the scenery and nature at it’s best.

We had a wonderful time staying in Islamorada at Morada Sands! The house is beautiful and Tara and Alexis ensure that your stay is relaxing. Upon our arrival Saturday afternoon, a problem with the air conditioning on the third floor was discovered. Within minutes of our notifying Tara, help was at the door and air conditioning repairmen arrived within an hour to fix the problem - and to give fishing advice to my son!

We used the pool table, the ping pong table, the pool and the kayaks throughout the week. We even were kayaking with four manatees in the canal!

We happened upon a "Full Moon Party" in Islamorada that was one of the many highlights of the trip and I would recommend anyone whose trip coincides with a full moon to seek it out and attend!!
