Enjoy the Historic downtown Chippewa Falls from the Leinenklen's Brewery, Wissota State Park, wineries, bike and walking trails. Bring your boat to fish over 6,000 acres or choose to fish right off the dock. Lake host Muskie, Northern, Walleye, Bass and many other types waiting to strike your hook. Choose a day on the lake and stop by one of many restaurants on the lake or top off your tank with gas. Paddle across the bay and enjoy the sand beach at Wissota State Park or go water ski and tubing. Canoe and boat lift included. Enjoy Country Jam, County Fest and Rock Fest near by then relax by your own camp fire. This is our personal cabin and loud partiers need not apply. Please come and enjoy the area as we have. Excellent place to stay, on entering the property I had to check the address, because the photos did not represent the property updates since the photos were taken, there is a nice deck in front now. Patio doors open up to a nice deck in the rear of the house. In the backyard you have a gas grill, fire pit, and plenty of lawn chairs with a swing. Take a walk down the stairs to the first landing, on your way down to the boat dock, and you will have a beautiful view of the lake. Moving on to the House. I think this is the cleanest house I've been to when it comes to vacation rentals, this is the first time I did not have to buy anything on my arrival.Besides food, and fish bait. I mean, they had everything I didn't even have to bring my fishing rods.They had fishing rods, supplies, chairs, canoe, bicycles, bug spray, suntan lotion, and the "kitchen" has so many appliances and gadgets, I even found a pizza oven. So if you're looking for a place to kick back and relax and do some fishing. I would definitely check them out.

Excellent place to stay

We had an excellent time at this lake home. They actually don't do the place justice by their postings. It was very clean and the owners were more then helpful with everything. We would gladly stay again and we just might next year.

They provided a lot of extras such as games, bikes, fishing poles, and wood for their fire pit. The beds were very comfortable. There was some pretty good fishing right off of the dock. There is a also a food store just a couple of miles away as well.

Great cottage, Great lake, Quiet Location

This is a very nice, very clean cottage on a huge lake. We were greeted by the owners on our arrival who gave us a tour of the cottage and the property. The cottage is well stocked with movies and games (for those rainy days or lazy evenings) and comes with an outdoor grill, full kitchen and washer & drier. There is also a nice fire pit with plenty of firewood. We spent our days on the lake tubing, skiing and exploring the surrounding area. There are miles upon miles of shoreline and different bays to checkout and enjoy. At night you can start a campfire and enjoy the peace and quiet with a great lake-view. You're also only a few minutes from a near-by grocery store and restaurants and a few more minutes from Chippewa Falls which has golf, bowling, a movie theater and a great little brewery that offers free tours and samples! The owners do a great job of keeping the cabin clean and updated and are very nice and friendly people. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing and fun getaway! We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again next year!

A delightful cottage on the lake

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Del and Carol's delightful cottage on the lake. It's actually much more than a cottage – it's a very clean, well-maintained, two bedroom house, stocked with games, dvds, videos, and anything else that one could possibly desire to have a great stay. The cottage is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with very friendly people. We could see the sunrise over the lake as we fished from their dock, and they have plenty of wood for bonfires in the fire pit. We had our two dogs with us, and the dogs enjoyed going down to the dock with us -- and hiking in the state park which is not far from the cottage. Chippewa Falls is a great little town with a nice restaurant, and Eau Claire is not too far away. Also, the owners of the cottage are wonderful people – Del even met us on our arrival and showed us around the cottage and the yard, which was very nice. We hope to come back next year.

Great little home on the lake

The description of the property was very accurate regarding the location, layout and amenities. The property was spotlessly clean and very well-maintained from the kitchen appliances to the bed and bath linens to all the extras.
The owner provided very good customer service and made it a point to meet us while we were there. We would definitely recommend this vacation home to our friends. Our relatives who live in the area even thought about renting it for a get away. It is located in a very quiet and pretty neighborhood and was great for biking and walking. They even had to bikes for us to use. The dock was large, so lots of room to hang out on and it had a nice boat lift. The stairs give you lots of opportunity for exercise, especially if you bring the canoe down to the water. There is a fire pit out front and that was fun too. The morning sun rises on the lake and you can see it out the master bedroom room, from your bed. Birds were abundant in the yard and we saw lots of deer biking and driving throughout the neighborhood. ( They couldn't wave because they didn't have hands). There is a lot of biking in the area, trails and roads, and we even biked into town a few times (maybe 8-10 miles). Eau Claire is about 10 miles away and it has a great market and more biking. Fishing was great but I can't remember where all the hot spots were. : ) There are 3 golf courses in Chippewa, one of the lake that you can drive your boat to, and they were inexpensive and during the week they were not very busy. There is a very good lunch restaurant in town and the brewery tour was very good and so was the beer.
