The perfect Vermont location. This log cabin sits directly above the Williams River with spectacular river and mountain views west and south. Sit on the deck and listen to the rapids rushing below. Go fishing for brook trout on the Williams River directly on the property. The property has one of the few swimming holes on the Williams River. The cabin has all the charm you would expect with the addition of two satellite TV’s, satellite radio, a DVR, CD and DVD player. It has a fully appointed kitchen, a wood pellet stove and a steam shower. This cabin is located near Chester. The town and village of Chester is conveniently located in the Okemo Valley Region of southern Vermont. Manchester, Woodstock, Brattleboro and Rutland are all an easy drive from Chester.- minutes from local shopping, conveniences and fine dining., 15 miles away is the Okemo Resort Tater hill golf course, loads of great local activities for the whole family..

During winter months you'll find downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. The historic towns of Woodstock, Grafton, Walpole, Weston, Brattleboro and Manchester are just a few of the most beautiful and scenic places that are just a short drive away. The famous Vermont Country Store is just 4 miles away! The town of Manchester with all of its incredible outlets as the Gap, Bose, Anichini, Crabtree & Evelyn, J. Crew and Polo just to name a few is 30 minutes away. The Stone House Antique Center with over 80 dealers is great for fun antiquing is just down the street!

More fun at the cabin: The sound system is connected to the satellite system. Put on your favorite music from XM Radio and it can be played throughout the cabin. Don’t miss your favorite TV show or ballgame while you are out. Record it on it the DVR recorder. Cook some marshmallows using our large fire pit that overlooks the rapids Sit on the lower deck and enjoy the setting sun over the mountains while listing to the rapids. Rest on the upper deck and enjoy the southern sun all day. Enjoy the 5 foot swimming hole or sit in the rapids and let the water flow over you. A beautiful way to get away from it all

This is a great find for a Fall getaway -- and can't imagine how beautiful it must be in winter and summer. The cabin has literally everything for a relaxing stay, and Roy was responsive to all my questions. It's far enough to be feel "away from it all" but close enough to see all the great sites and have some wonderful meals. We enjolyed sitting on the deck and listening to the relaxing rapids. Felt like we were in a postcard. Highly recommend!

Very nice Cabin

We had a great time at the Wilkins Cabin and would definitely consider going back. River was a little rough for the kids (5yrs and 10yrs) but my husband and dog could not stay away from the it. We were disappointed to find out that there was no fire wood for the camp fire. We didn't let that stop us we mananged to start the fire out of the branches we found and still got our smores in. The house was as expected and very nice. The perfect get away we needed. Thanks for sharing your home.

Great Find

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this beautiful and relaxing cabin. Everything we needed was there: fully stocked kitchen, comfortable places for reading, away from the main floor t.v. room, great beds and the sounds of the Williams River and Green Mountain Flyer train. Our dog also felt quite at home with a yard and country roads to explore. We look forward to returning.
