PARADISE FOUND RIGHT HERE AT HALE NALO

This neat and tidy studio is the perfect place to relax, after a wounderful day on the nicest,and quietest beach in all of Oahu. Herlinda and her friendly dog helped to make our anniversary a week of happiness in paradise. Wakeing to the sound of the surf and birds singing in the AM is awesome,enjoying a cool drink in the beautiful back yard at sunset, life doesn't get any better then that. All the things you need for a great vacation are at your disposal, the pictures don't lie. We would not hesitate to come back to Hale Nalo paradise found. Marty & Millie.

The anti-Waikiki

The space is quiet, clean and simple. You have everything you need for your stay. Waimanalo is more like old Hawaii. There is a small commercial area with some great local food stands (Sweet Home Waimanalo and Keneke's) and a good little grocery (Shima's) for all your basics. If you need more shopping, you can go to Kailua only a few minutes away (they have a Macy's, Safeway, many more restaurants). The local beach is public, with very few people and quite nice. Not much in terms of surfing or activities in town, but if you want it you can find it nearby. Great place to go if you want to relax.

Our room was incredibly clean and well-maintained very well. The kitchen had everything we could have needed- even a coffee bean grinder! Waimanalo bay is very very close and so incredibly beautiful. We really couldn't have asked for more. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Hale Nalo is a heavenly anti-Waikiki! If you're a solo or couple looking for a quiet, peaceful, lush, comfortable, safe lodging on Oahu, this is a marvelous place at a great price. Stylish, modern, elegantly spare, and comfortable, it's two houses from a secluded stretch of Waimanalo Beach. Seriously, if you spot more than two people on this beach, consider it "rush hour." My visit fell during the hottest dog-days of summer, and the silent ceiling fan and breezes from the nearby ocean kept me cool enough. You awaken each day to a tropical bird jam-session and fall asleep each night to the sounds of rolling waves and palm fronds stirred by the breeze. Sublime. A lounge area outside the studios has convenient guidebooks and maps, and your hostess, Herlinda, is gracious, accommodating, and eager to acquaint visitors with the best of island secrets. You're 10 minutes away from great food and shopping in Kailua, 10 minutes away from Hanauma Bay, and 15 minutes away from Hawaii Kai shopping.

Nalo means; lost, vanish, disappear- and that is exactly what you get- lost- from the "real world"- when you stay here. Quiet and lots of space to unwind, a minutes walk to the beach (if you walk slowly). I love this place, saw whales up on Makapu'u Point, you can actually take a dip in the ocean (something we're not used to in Oregon) and the host made me feel quite special. if you truly want to relax, come here. And then come back.
The property is just as described and the photos provide an accurate view- what you see is what you get, mmm.
