Well-equipped Family Home

We thought the home was well-equipped and more spacious than we had counted on. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 TV room and a large + comfortable sunroom, also with a TV.
The "living room" is more of a parlor. The sunroom is where we gathered for family movies at night. The kitchen is better stocked than most vacation rentals I've visited. The home owners leave staples, such as oil, vinegar, spices, sugar, etc. so you don't have to buy absolutely everything when you arrive. The washer and dryer are great - especially the dryer for the beach towels at day's end.
The AC's in each bedroom were very much appreciated as the temperature soared to above 90 degrees on several of the days we visited!
The yard is rather small. The grill/bistro patio is only good for seating two and while it is VERY well landscaped, it's not a great yard for seven year old boys (for example) who want to be throwing and catching baseballs or frisbees all the time. It would be a GREAT yard for toddlers, though - completely enclosed by a tall fence and level for the most part.
The outdoor shower is huge and private and much enjoyed.
The location in South Chatham is great. The house is walking distance to the beach and to nice restaurants and a coffee place. It's also equidistant to Harwich/Harwichport and downtown Chatham. Harwich has a go-cart park, a trampoline park and batting cages, all of which we utilized on the cloudier days of our vacation.
If you want to be a short bike ride or drive from two of the Capes loveliest downtown areas, this house is a GREAT choice. We thought it was a GREAT value - and we have been renting on Nantucket and the Cape for years.
The owners were extremely attentive and easy to work with. We'll be back!

We truly appreciate this wonderful review from a delightful, fun family who visited our home, (and then took the time to write a review!) We felt it important to point out that the small yard that they are referring to is only the private, enclosed side yard (yes, great for small children!). We also have a larger back yard with a patio, larger table, umbrella, etc. (see our pictures). We thought it would be important for you to understand that the side yard is not the only yard for your use.
