This unit has been recently renovated and redecorated. This spacious two bedroom rental is perfect for couples and families as it sleeps up to six people. There is a large kitchen and bath and flat screen TV with cable. One bedroom has a queen bed with TV and cable and the second bedroom has a double bed with TV and cable.

Balboa Island is the perfect family vacation getaway for a week or a month. The island boasts calm waters for the little ones but the ocean is just a ferry ride away! The nearby town has excellent restaurants and shopping and is just a short walk from this cottage. Close to Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and LegoLand.

Best value and good location on the island

We loved it! While it is close to the shops and a resturant, noise was never a problem. It was clean, had new appliances and close to the preferred south-side beach. My husband and two children had a great time and we would recommend it.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

very modest with potential

This upstairs cottage is adorable but modest. Its location is great for shopping and eating but it is right next to a bar and that can get loud late into the night. Unfortunately it was not very clean. We had to complain about that. It is not necessarily well maintained. There are knobs missing, lights that do not work and mold in the bathroom shower. It says it is remodeled but I do not see how expect all the new furniture from Ikea. It is suited well for two people and maybe one child but not any more. The second bedroom has only a futon not a bed. If you are looking for an inexpensive beach cottage and don’t mind the flaws or the steep steps, this place is for you. If you are looking for an upscale, elegant beach house that sleeps more than 3, this place is not for you.
