This cherished place has been our family home since 1940. Our parents have recently moved, and we have renovated this unique place for vacation rental. Two acres of lawn and field surround the house. Lovely views of the neighborhood and distant mountains can be seen from anywhere on the property. The Town Forest and walking trails abut the property The house is located between Lee and Lenox, off Route 20, central to the wide array of activities that the Berkshires offer throughout the year. Tanglewood is within 5 miles, Laurel Lake (swimming, boating, fishing) is 1/2 mile away. Shops and restaurants on Main Street are within walking distance (1 mile). Other Berkshire attractions such as the Norman Rockwell Museum, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Daniel Chester French studio, Edith Wharton's The Mount are all within ten miles. This lovely 1940 newly-renovated home is located on Circular Ave, off Route 20, between Lee and Lenox. There is easy access to the wonderful array of year-round cultural and recreational offerings. PLAN YOUR FALL OR WIINTER VACATION HERE! The home sits on a quiet hill surrounded by over two acres of lawn and field, and borders a Town Forest with walking trails. Winter ski areas are within 20 miles. Tanglewood is within 5 miles. Edith Wharton's The Mount is within 3 miles. The Norman Rockwell Museum and Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival are within 10 miles. The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) and the Clark art museum are a 45 minute drive. The Berkshires also offer excellent summer theatre, as well as the Shakespeare summer festival. There is great hiking at October Mountain (5 miles) or Mount Greylock (12 miles). This wonderful area offers a wide range of experiences, from simple relaxation on the porch or an evening at Tanglewood in summer, great hiking in the fall, or skiing in winter.

The Coach House: This cherished place has been our family home since 1940. Our parents recently moved and we have just refurbished the house for vacation rental. The kitchen and bath have been completely renovated, with new fixtures and appliances, including Bosch washer and dryer. All of the rooms have been painted, and floors have been refinished. It sparkles! There are three rooms downstairs: eat-in kitchen with a pantry; dining room, living room and a 1/2 bath. The second floor has three bedrooms and a full bath. There is a comfortable, open porch that overlooks the hillside where lovely sunsets can be viewed. The hill continues behind the house into the Town Forest and walking trails. We would love to share this home with you and your family.

The surroundings.......: The house is located at 75 Circular Avenue in Lee. This street is off Route 20 (Laurel St), between Lee and Lenox. It is central to the many cultural and outdoor activities that the Berkshires offer. Laurel Lake is within 1/2 mile, and Tanglewood is within 5 miles. You can walk to Main St. and downtown Lee (1 mile), where there are many shops and restaurants. Backroads for fall foliage viewing abound - and winter skiing areas are within 10 miles.

great getaway, relaxing yet close to everything

We spent Christmas week in this tastefully updated old house and fell in love with the place! It is recently remodeled but rich in family history and has good energy to it. The location is great for family fun - close to hiking trails, shops, restaurants and cultural attractions. There is plenty to do rain or shine. The owners are very friendly, caring and nice people. We will definitely come back! Thank you, Ann!

A Gem of a House

The Coach House was idyllic! There was so much history and love in in that house and you could really feel it. It also was really fresh and vibrant - owing to the new remodeling.
I went with my boyfriend from Manhattan and we had the most amazing time.
The house was romantic and colorful, drenched in sunlight, well-stocked, very clean and filled with personality. There was the perfect amount of space for the two of us, although the house could easily accommodate more.
I cooked many meals in their fully equipt kitchen which overlooked their lovely yard, the bedrooms were perfectly sized, the dining room was elegant and the porch was divine!
Lee was the perfect town to stay in to explore the Berkshires...we were so centrally located and we did hiking, horseback-riding, lake swimming (there is a gorgeous, private lake right by the property), etc. in the morning and saw plays/dance/music in the evening. It offered us a fantastic mix of nature and culture that we were looking for - without too much driving!
We came home rested and enlivened and looking forward to going back!!!
