Enjoy beautiful Western North Carolina from the front porch of this magnificent, one-of-a-kind mountain getaway. You can sit on the wrap-around porch and relax by the noisy creek or fish from the deck! 'Up The Creek' cabin has 4 large bedrooms and 3 full baths. The 'Cowboy' room has a Queen bed & 1 twin, the 'nature room' has a king bed, the 'red room' has king bed and the 'green room' has a queen bed. You can enjoy the inside fireplace or sit and listen to the creek while you burn wood in the outdoor fireplace. Cabin boasts a 4 person hot tub as well as an 8 person steam sauna. Home is located just 3.95 miles out of Robbinsville, NC and is in a very quite community. Local attractions include historic Fontana Village, whitewater rafting down the Nantahala River, Joyce Kilmer National Forest, Cherokee Village, and Tail of the Dragon. Restaurants in Robbinsville are very good, one grocery store and lots of natural beauty. Robbinsville is a dry county (no alcohol sales).

  • All bathrooms are very clean; as is the entire house. All three bathrooms have ceiling heaters so there is no stepping out of the shower to a cold room. All of the bath towels are of the highest quality and we provide an adequate amount for each bathroom. We provide one roll of tissue paper per bathroom and you will be responsible for providing more for yourself and your family. You will need to bring your own personal items as these are not provided for you.

  • All of the beds are very comfortable. The king bed in the upstairs red room is probably the softest. The queen beds in the Green Room and Cowboy Room are also very comfortable. There is also a convertible chair-and-a-half in the brown which rolls out into a twin bed; which is also very comfortable. The king bed in the Nature Room downstairs is the most firm; we did this to accommodate older folks and those with back problems (no use in them climbing the stairs). All of the sheets are of the highest thread count and we have an assortment of pillows-from firm to soft. We know from all of our trips there is nothing as important as a good nights sleep! There is ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms and wood blinds to turn out the sunlight (for those late sleepers). All of the bedrooms upstairs have large closets and color televisions w/satellite television. We know you will love your stay at 'Up the Creek' cabin!

Can't Wait to Go Back!

We loved it! The home is so comfy and peaceful. I loved sleeping with the windows open and listening to the creek.

The decor is warm and friendly. We slept in the red room and the bed was so comfy I checked out the matress manufacturer to buy one for my own home.

The hot tub was fabulous after a full day of mountain biking. The home is close to fabulous mountain biking trails at Tsali and a several other trails. It's also close for white water rafting/kayaking on the Nantahala River. There are hiking trails galore in the area too.

We had so much to do in the area that we didn't make it home in time to build a fire in the outdoor fireplace or use the steam room. We're hoping to come back soon so we can do that.

It was relaxing spending the mornings having breakfast on the deck by the creek and doing some a.m. yoga/stretching on the wrap-around porch. We picked wild flowers in the area everyday and brought them home so we could enjoy the beauty of the local flowers.

The furnishings were new and the home was spotless. I highly recommend it for everyone.

Wonderful & we couldn't have found a better place

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for allowing us to stay at your place this past week. It was wonderful and we couldn't have found a better place. The atmosphere was so relaxing that it was hard to leave every morning to go riding, but coming home to it made it all that more enjoyable. We put almost 1200 miles on the bikes during our stay! We took some pics of it, to show our friends and to advertise for you. I have already had 2 people ask me about it so I hope it helps. As being small business owners ourselves, we know how every little bit counts. We hope to be staying with you guys again next year.

What we wanted and expected...

Our stay at Up the Creek was exactly what we wanted and expected. The setting, beside a running brook, along with the porches and the view made it an ideal place to go after a long day of motorcycle touring. The house is very nice and well appointed with everything we needed, including the spa and hot tub for relaxing after a long day's ride. The location was great, just minutes from stores and supplies and close to area attractions, but just far enough out to be peaceful and quiet. The owner was very accommodating and checked with us several times to see that everything met our expectations. We highly recommend Up the Creek and will visit again.

BREATHTAKING

Breathtaking is the first word that comes to mind! The house is beautifully decorated and the outside surroundings are just as lovely. The house has a wrap around porch with a fireplace that is great for a cool night in the mountains. A stream flows beside the house making it so peaceful to sit on the porch and read a book. Did I mention the hot tub and sauna. You actually have the feeling that you are at a mountain resort with all the amenities. If you need a getaway vacation this is the place to go. The only thing is when you stay for awhile you will never want to leave.

Great place just to getaway.....to make memories.

My family and I spent a weekend or two there. We love the spaciousness of the house, but also the closeness you get when you have a large family like mine......the location is great. We all loved the wrap around porch, that looks out over the creek. The house is immaculately clean, it has a touch of modern day life, with little touch of home.

The hot tub/sauna were in planning before I moved, so I didn't get to take advantage of them, but perhaps on my visit home I will be able to spend some time there and enjoy what I missed. It is the perfect getaway for couples/families or friends to enjoy some quality time away from the hustle and bustle of
everyday life.

If you are looking for a little excitement to go along with your trip then Dollywood and Harrah's Cassino are a few of the attractions to check out. If you are a nature person, then there are Joyce Kilmer National Forest and The Trail of Tears just to mention a few, there is lots more to offer. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

The owners have really tried to make it a fantastic place to make memories. If you are looking for the perfect mountain getaway, then this is the place you want to visit. Ellen
