Nestled on a hillside above the scenic village of S. Woodstock, Apple Hill is a cozy year-round home with a large deck offering views of the Kedron Valley. The setting features fields and woods, with nearby farms. Take a 10 minute walk down the hill to S. Woodstock, and you'll find- a country store( with penny candy, and deli serving delicious take-out food); Kedron Valley Inn with fine dining and a wonderful beach/pond for swimming; historic church and academy. An open floor plan on the first floor, allows for a relaxing atmosphere-living room with fireplace, dining room seats 8, den/TV room, generously supplied kitchen, mud room/entryway, powder room, bedroom (queen bed) and full bath. The second floor sleeps up to six, in three bedrooms -- one full, two queen. Full bath on second floor. 5 miles from Woodstock. Outdoor activities at your doorstep, including cross-country skiing, biking, hiking, nearby swimming, horseback riding and golf. GMHA 5 min.

This house is immaculate - all the rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable. Made us look forward to coming back after days of hiking and exploring.

House is about 10 mins from Woodstock, and a good starting point for most southern Vermont destinations.

Perfection!

My husband, 9-month-old daughter, and I recently stayed here for a week with a small group of our friends, including two other small children. The house accommodated all of us wonderfully. We enjoyed the expansive, well-equipped kitchen, the bright and comfortable sitting rooms, and the beautiful deck and yard. The entire property was impeccably clean and well-maintained, and the yard allowed us lawns for picnicking, bocce ball, and kite flying.

We made many outings into the town of Woodstock, where we visited Billings Farm, enjoyed appetizers at Bentley's, and browsed the General Store. We also visited neigboring Bridgeport for lunch at the Long Trail Brewery, as well as the nearby Sugarbush Farm, where we sampled (and later purchased) syrup and cheese made on the premises.

Our stay here was perfect, except that it ended too soon -- we look forward to returning!

Beautiful home!

My family and I stayed here for a week in June 2008. The house is even lovelier than it looks in the photos. It's beautifully decorated and comfortable, with big windows and a large deck looking out over green trees and hills. The place is in impeccable condition. I would recommend it to anyone and hope to stay here again myself. We visited from New York City and found picturesque, pastoral South Woodstock a perfect place to relax. The nearby general store was a nice place to have lunch or breakfast, and the town of Woodstock was an easy drive for bigger restaurants and shopping. Our experience here was perfect in every way.
