Rising Mist is a new cabin. If you are looking for privacy, peace and quiet, and a very comfortable clean place to stay, but also a place not far away from the lake and all the other fun things to do here in north GA, then look no further. For summer fun on the water, you have Lake Chatuge to the West, or Lake Burton to the East. Both are within easy driving distance. Fall colors so beautiful you have to see them in person - a picture does not do them justice. Have a funnel cake at the GA. Mtn. Fair. There is nothing more relaxing than a frosty fall or snowy winter morning with a nice fire burning in the fireplace, a comfortable chair, a cup of coffee and a good book or a walk on a cool day when your breath fogs up around your face. Spring is also beautiful with the birds waking you up every morning, an abundance of spring flowers in bloom. If any of this sounds like the place you are looking for to get away from the rat race and the fast pace of city life, then make reservations now.

Fair), crafts, history, music, art, playgrounds and of course golf (5 great courses to choose from). All of this and more!   • 50% down is required to reserve your dates & balance is due 1 month prior to arrival.
  • Security Deposit - $250. Security Deposit will be refunded after cabin is cleaned with no damages found.
  • Rates based on 4 people. Over 4 guests $10.00/guest/night(Under age 5 free). Cancellations must be made 1 month prior to arrival for a full refund. Partial refund will be given if less than a month. Consideration will be given for new dates rebooked. If deposit is made with a credit card a processing fee of $25 will be deducted from the refund. Check in is 4 pm and check out at 11 am.

  • The main suite has a beautiful jetted tub with a hand held shower and surrounded by rock work that is the ideal setting for a romantic getaway. The tub downstairs is a great place to relax and read in a nice hot bath before bedtime surrounded by a tile enclosure that if you prefer you can take a hot shower.

Notes: Our cabin has two living rooms one upstairs and one downstairs. Each living room has a beautiful rock fireplace and offers privacy to couples wanting to spend time alone. The cabin has a wrap around porch that offers you plenty of shade and a place to sit and enjoy that first cup of coffee or the evening sunsets.

This cabin is gorgeous, immaculate and has a view to die for. Excellent in every way. And, walking distance to the Appalchian Trail. Didn't want to leave.

Relaxing Retreat

We spend a great deal of time in the north Georgia mountains and can highly recommend Rising Mist Cabin to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway in this part of the country. The cabin is beautifully/comfortably furnished and very well maintained, the setting is peaceful, the view is great, and the owners are attentive and helpful. Very close to the AT, Lake Chatuge, Brasstown Bald, and other north GA hiking/sightseeing destinations.

Rising Mist Cabin

My husband and I loved this beautiful cabin. The furnishings were impeccable. The kitchen has granite countertops, the hardwood floors are gorgeous, and the owner is very caring and easy to work with. The cabin is located between Clayton and Hiawasse, Ga. The only possible drawback would be for those with Christmas tree allergies. Both bedrooms have large cedar closets. Otherwise, Rising Mist Cabin is a lovely vacation retreat.
The area offers many beautiful sights including numerous waterfalls within 30 minute drives.
